Sorry for pushing such an old thread, but the red DSi is indeed glossy and has not a matte finish. I guess everybody knew that already... lol I just saw a Red DSi unboxing video on youtube and there you could see that the DSi was all glossy, just as I thought when I first saw the red DSi's images. I wonder why they made it glossy and not matte like the other DSis.
I don`t have any idea why they would make the red on glossy, but I much prefer having it be a matte finish..It just feels like less of a toy and more of a tool
