Topic: DSi What Color Should they come in?

Well, we already know what colors some of us want (Check Black & Blue Forum) , but what if you want a color that is not available. So what colors do you think Nintendo should add? Personally I would love to see something in orange or lime green.

japan's already got a very nice lime green available, but an orange one would be fun too. i like how my blue one has orange inside the hole for the stylus, it makes for a cute accent.

I know that Japan got the lime green one. It just seems that NA never seems to get fun colors like that.

I'd prefer a Silver or even Red

I already have the Red original DS so I'm ready to move on from that color.

yeah, i know. i was surprised when i was told we would only be getting black and blue to choose from... we never get fun colors immediately like that, lol.

i think they should have all the colours that they have for the ipod cromatic!

Kinda like the Lite ones. I wanted the Blue and Black one, but then I got a DSi instead.

I like my black version, although they could perhaps put an emblem of sorts on the lid.

I used to have the see-through Gameboy (original). I would look at the system as much as I'd play it sometimes.

I never thought of a clear DSi. That would be so cool. I wish I had one now.

it might be the only thing that would convince me to upgrade to a dsi

they should have pokemon limited edition dsi with the pokemon logo on the front and hide the camera lens by makeing it look like a pokeball desine!

The red and cobalt of the DS lite were great colors.

Oddly enough, I already have a white one, yet I'm planning on at least one more DSi. If I decided on a second unit, then my top picks are, unimaginatively, the Sky Blue that Statesians have as an exclusive colour (for now) and the Metallic Navy that the Japanese have; followed by Kiwi Green and Berry Pink (a pink that shouldn't be just for girls) that Japan have already, partly because they remind me of the Game Boy Color; and Black, the one colour available in all territories in which the DSi is currently available.

Alternatives would include a range of colours such as Dandelion Yellow, Grape Purple, Spice Orange (that old GameCube colour that only saw release as a controller in Oz), Latte Brown, Mist Grey, Coral Pink, Aquamarine and Ruby Red. That way, any DSi owner could have their favourite chromatic hue.

Another neat option for my collection is a Special Edition DSi unit, such as a HeartGold or SoulSilver-themed metallic DSi, probably embossed with a Gold Lugia outline on the Silver one, and a Silver Ho-oh outline on the Gold one. I'd call them Ho-oh Gold and Lugia Silver, respectively.

If they launched Game Boy (Color) and Game Boy Advance games in the DSi Shop, it'd be neat if they created a Special Edition DSi that resembled a Game Boy, complete with purple buttons, a black D-Pad and a light grey shell. Another neat idea would be a Game Boy Advance-themed unit with light grey buttons and a Glacier-coloured shell (just a thought).

Phew...that was quite a list! But I'm happy with even a few colours to choose from, because I'll still have variety (unlike now...it's either White or Black, which only leaves one other option for another unit)

I wouldn't have minded the blue so much if they'd gone with a darker shade--for some reason the shade just makes it look like cheap plastic like a toy for young children. The teal GBC was pretty nice. Something translucent like the glacier GBA would be cool too.
