Okay, I decided to make this thread to share secrets about the awesome secret-filled console that is the Nintendo DSi.
Here are some:

Quick Brightness Change
SELECT + Volume Up/Down

In-Game Touch Screen Calibration
L + R + START + SELECT then press, but don't hold POWER

Restart Game
L + R + START + SELECT

Share the secrets you know!

Ooh, thanks for the brightness change control!

PictoChat's Rainbow Pen
In DSi's PictoChat, you can draw in rainbow colours by tapping the pen icon twice.

Mario Theme In DSi Sound
In the DSi sound app, highlight a recorded sound and wait about 45 seconds or so, and it will play the Mario theme using that sound. Apparently the sound has to be at least a second long to work however.

DSi Musical Keyboard

Whee! Actually it's just an image saved using the camera app, and "played" using the musical note stamp.

DSi Musical Keyboard cont.
In fact, that music stamp plays notes according to colour, so you can take any picture and play with it!

@HM
Yeah, the brightness change is a cool one.

@Bobpie: Thanks for in game calibration, I never knew it existed and I don't bother ever reading manuals.

@Roopa
Your L & R buttons must not work well. Mine don't.
Wait, do you have a DSi or a DS Lite?

That in-game calibration is pretty cool.
Good thing I saved before I tried it while playing Platinum.

Hold down the volume down button when turning on your dsi to start out muted.
You can turn down the volume in sleepmode, but you cannot turn it back up.

My L button is shot for now, so I'll try this when it gets its act together.

Try to give your DSi a shake.

I know on secret that people seem to not have noticed, the glitchs DSlite had, DSi does not have them, I should know....I've only expirienced the data corrupted screen on Pokemon Platinum and Soul Silver on DSlite.

If your L & R buttons aren't working, it's probably just dust underneath. To fix it blow right on the button forming a tight seal with your lips. It looks weird but hey, it works. I've had this problem with my lite so now I have to do this everytime it boots up. Better than paying for a repair though, i guess.
