Topic: Do you know what happens to your DSiWare if...

...your DSi gets lost or stolen, or you simply want to buy a new one in two or three years?

I just contacted Nintendo because of this - but I'd like to read your ideas about this first!

Most likely you cannot transfer the apps unless Nintendo was to take the device and move them for you. I'd say the same thing as the Wii, nope.

Well, the Wii is in your living room - - - this one is not so in danger of getting lost or stolen...

But you're right: The account is not transferable to another or new DSi.

I've already bought DSiWare for ~60 Euros, I'm really not sure if I want to buy anything new. Sorry, but there's going to be a new "DSiPlus" in a few years, and I'd have to buy all apps another time..?

I'm just wondering why we even have an account - so my games belong to my DSi, not me...
