Dementium > Dementium 2
I've played and beaten both, and the original for it's time was pretty damn cool I've gotta say mainly because of the stylus FPS controls, the fun ways you used the touch screen, the graphics were very impressive and it all ran at a silky smooth 60fps._Plus the soundtrack perfectly captured that hopeless and nightmarish atmosphere down pat and the ending was pretty funkin' sad i must admit. But man, the gameplay gets tedious, the locations start being recycled and lookin all the same, the map is horrible and the enemies themselves aren't exactly shining with creaitivty. Those flying clown heads scared the crap out of me at first, but other than that.....meh.
DII improves open a few things, but goes 'Gun heavy' in the process and loses a bit of that survival horror feeling. Plus the Stylus controls don't feel as smooth or look as good when in motion because Renegade Kid cranked up the sensitivty. My favorite thing about DII must of been using the sledge hammer to break down certain doors that were smothered in wood. The ending? What a load of mega crap. I threw that one out of my DS collection, the experience just wasn't as compelling, interesting or as fun as the first in my eyes!

I have to add than other than maybe metroid:prime hunters, Dementium series is the best first person shooter on DS.

got to agree with waveboy regarding the repetition of the maps, whilst the developers clearly had alot of ambition the creepy atmosphere and gameplay were soon taken over by tedium... picked it up for 2 quid when GAME was on its last legs... must have been impressive in its time but crikey.. wouldnt want to pay full price for it : /

I really wish there were more horror games on the DS or the 3DS. I have played through some of Dementium the Ward, and it is probably the only game that has scared me since I played Amnesia.
