Topic: Contra 4 DOES have a 30-life Konami Code!

I'm only lurking these days, but am doing this as a Public Service Announcement! I was about to take up Contra 4 and attempt to finally finish it, in celebration of my 25th anniversary of playing NES Contra. I went to GameFAQs for a reminder of the 99 life glitch.

To my shock, I found out that a 30-life Konami Code was recently revealed! And, it's done rather creatively, with the touch screen!

It brought happy memories of discovering the KC for the original, in the first issue of Nintendo Power (RIP, sob).

Now to go Tony Montana on some alien butts!!! Here's a video on how to do the code. Apologies if this has been mentioned here, but I'm trying to get word out, as old as the game now is.

Oh, I forgot to mention, apparently it only works on normal & hard difficulties (I've not tried it on easy, but where I saw it mentioned, only said normal & hard).

Read about this in Issue 3 of NF. Of course, I traded my copy of Contra 4 way before that, but to each his own.

wow, this was interesting, in the touch screen!!! I will try it.

Oh, I didn't know this though I won't be using it but it is interesting to know there are two variations of the Konami code in Contra 4.
