During the week I often have almost NO time to play games, but still want to whenever I have a few minutes. While we do have Clubhouse Games in our household (two copies, in fact!), I'd like to have other options for games to play when you don't have much time. I'm considering the DS versions of Peggle and Bejeweled Twist, as well as Touchmaster and WarioWare Touched if I can track down a copy. I'd love feedback on those choices as well as suggestions for other relatively high-quality games that can be played in sessions of five minutes or less.
I don't have a DSi at the moment (not sure if I want one or not; a lot depends on whether or not a new DS will be coming out soon), so retail games/collections are all I have access to at the moment.
Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.
Moco Loco If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.
BTW the games don't have to be as casual as the ones I've listed. It's just that I've rarely found core games that work in such short bursts. I've already been through the Sonic Rush games, New SMB DS, and the first Space Invaders Extreme. I'm currently working my way through the second of those.
I'm just looking for a little bit of fun when there's no time for a lotta bit of fun. Can't afford a DSi or iPod Touch at the moment, both of which probably have more games that meet this need.

Peggle and Bejeweled are classics, and well worth a try. For other puzzlers, Meteos is great, and you can squeeze in a few tries in a short amount of time. Geometry Wars is well worth playing, too. Just don't use the stylus or your hand will cramp up in no time.
Second Geometry Wars (though I much prefer the stylus method of play) and I think that Drill Spirits would be a good choice since it has regular and time attack modes - I'd recommend importing the European or Japanese release to get Dristone mode and download play options though.
I'm playing Pipemania at the moment and that has tons of play modes and the world stages can be played on their own in really short bursts - classic puzzling action (hopefully I'll get that review done soon).
MadWorld is an amazing game for short bursts. Each level only lasts 30 minutes (you can beat them sooner. but it's also awesome fun to just kill some dudes for a couple minutes.
If that's not your sort of thing though, I also recommend NSMBWii. Most levels don't take longer than 2-4 minutes and it's just so much fun.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
WarioWare is a great game, but a few short minutes can turn into about half an hour.

You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
Touchmaster is one of my go to travel games when I want to play something and don't care if I have to quit at a moments notice. Someone else mentioned Mortal Kombat... i've had Deadly Alliance on GBA for years, great to play a few rounds here and there and earn koins, worth it if you find it cheap.

I also agree that Touchmaster is a good choice. I'm like you and often only have a few minutes to play during the work week. So playing 10 minutes or so during my lunch break or before bed is sometimes all I get. Touchmaster is good for those times. It's a game I always carry around with my DSi.

Some RPGs like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy are actually good for that. You can fight a few battles, then close the DS to put it in sleep mode, and continue again later right where you left off, even mid-battle.
