I recently saw gelaskins mentioned being used on ereaders and found out they could be used on DSi's too for protection. I wanted to know if anyone recommended them and to know the cons of gelaskins before buying.
i wouldn't really recommend a skin for protection, unless you plan on keeping your DS in a purse or bag or someplace where the outer shell might get scratched to all hell -- that way, the skin takes the beating, and not your DS. a skin alone won't protect it from being dropped or anything. for style, though, skins or decorated cases are the way to go :3

What tbd said. Not for style, they tend to be pretty fugly. For protection against scratching then it'll be fine, but won't do that much if you drop it (although the DSi is pretty drop-resilient anyway, dropped mine a few times)
