Mine has Glow artisan, Aura Aura climber,Faceez, and Flipper.
Every game is almost the same here. Instead of Flipper(which I already own) they gave me Spotto. Strangely enough I posted in a thread here early this month that I would DL Aura-Aura Climber and Spotto at the end of the month depending on what comes out. I have yet to download anything since I made that post. Surprising ...hmmmm
What is the other one? I have noticed the list changes depending on the games you have purchased. Maybe if someone else from the US could give us the "recommended" list the we would have a confirmation
The last one on my shop channel is Flight Control. I'm in Canada, though. This silly overlook isn't exactly helping indie developers who just released their titles.
Mine has Faceez, Scrabble, Extreme Hangman and Legends of Exidia.
hm.......Do you have all of these titles? Glow Artisan, Aura-Aura Climber, Flight Control, Flipper, Spotto!, Link N Launch, Fieldrunners, and 5-1 Solitaire? Are in the NA region too?

Yes, I'm in NA, and the only one in that list I don't have is 5-in-1 Solitaire. I have Touch Solitaire, though.
Alright guys heres my theory about how they figure out what 4 games to put on the welcome screen(at least for the NA shop). I think Stuffgamer was on to something when he thought companies pay to keep their games on the welcome screen.
This is what I have for my top 20 recommended titles from 1- 20: The 2 free app, Glow Artisan, Aura-Aura Climber,Flight Control, Faceez, Flipper, Spotto!, Scrabble Classic, Link N Launch, Fieldrunners, Extreme Hangman, Legends of Exdia, 5 in 1 Solitarie, AiRace: Tunnel, Starship Defense, Dark Void Zero, Me And My Dogs: Friends Forever, Arcade Hoops Basketball, and The Oregon Trail. If every Dsi in NA has the same top 20 recommend titles then the 4 games that show up on the welcome screen are just whatever game each of us hasnt DL yet from that list starting from 1 and going all the way back to 20. If anyone has all of this titles then im not sure how else they would figure which 4 games to display on the welcome screen. Im not yet sure how they come up with this top 20 list but thats all I got so far. This theory wont be to hard figure out if its right or not with only a few post.
@cheapo Hey, it seems like you're right! Flight Control, Faceez, Scrabble Classic and Link 'n' Launch are the ones that appear for me, and they are the top 4 in the list that I haven't got.
I guess it isn't that they pay to be shown on the front page so much as they're in the top 20 downloads.
Matches what I'm seeing. I own Glow Artisan, but not the next four titles.
Good job!
Thanks....
Now that mystery is solve whos turn is it to figure out how they come up with the recommendation top 20 list. Their are a few games that are on both the popular list and recommend list that match up, but others dont seem to follow some other type of pattern. Stuffgamer hinted that companies could be paying Nintendo to keep their games on the welcome screen. Its possible i guess. Their are alot of Gameloft games on that list, but the order which they appear has me puzzled. If that was the case shouldnt all of Gamelofts games appear close to the number one spot instead of a indie game like Flipper? shrugs Maybe Hugo Smits can help us with this one.
