According to that second link, it could be releasing right on my birthday, awesome. Still, like with the original DS, I doubt I'll be able to pick up a '3DS' at launch...
Im thinking the same thing,because preorder for new hardware is a pain in the butt and easy to not get one. Im gonna try my hardest.

Agreed! Everyone should just settle down and wait until E3 on June 16th! Don't believe this 100%; even if it could most likely be only if Japan was getting it first!

Amen to that! However, the only way this will be a day one buy is if I can transfer DSiWare (and sell the DSi) AND there's a VC on it for Gameboy games. I'm hoping the Game & Watch series on DSiWare is testing the water for that, which is why I have purchased a fair amount of them (luckily they've turned out to be fun, so I will probably buy more of them eventually).
If one or both of those things don't happen, I'll wait until it builds up a worthwhile library and just goof off on my DSi until then. I haven't had my DSi for more than a year, so it's not like there aren't a ton of games I need to play still.
Either way, between this and all the Wii games coming out....I need a job pretty badly.
Lastly, add me to the group that thinks that Black and White will be "enhanced" like Gold and Silver were. You could play G&S on a regular GB, but you also got color if you used a GBC, while Crystal was GBC only, I believe. The graphics just look like they'd be easily capable of being rendered in true 3D.
Well, I'm not bothered. I've always joined the new hardware generations late anyway. I'll wait until they have the 3DS Lite or something. You know it's coming!
About Pokemon Black & White - They may make it for DS and include 3D capabilities and improved graphics, sort of like Shantae (the original)
On DSiWare migration - This will probably be the question that, depending on the answer, will either make me get it for Christmas or at my own leisure (probably a few years). If the answer is yes, I hope I can get it in time to rub it in people's faces.
On shoulder buttons - What was wrong with the GBA shoulder butttons? When did it come totally impossible to make something that actually works for 3-4 years without breaking?
Other than that, I hope developers can make great games in 3D that don't use the scariness of large objects flying at you as a gimmick. That would be terrible.
I'd imagine the type of 3D is more like Avatar, where you get real depth perception in the screen, as opposed to gimmicky stuff flying at you. It's my understanding that it's two different types of technology that produce those effects, but I could be completely wrong.
(Even still, without glasses, I'd imagine that sort of 3D effect is impossible)
