Certainly not the biggest announcment today, but I'm looking forward to it. It would be nice to take that many classics on the go not to mention how much shelf space it would save. What books do you hope to see included?

I am also excited for this. I don't really know any specifics of books I want because i'm not exactly an avid reader. Hopefully having 100+ books available on my DS will change that!

Actually I think this is pretty convenient piece of software to have. From the press release we know that Dracula and Journey to the Center of the Earth are included. It also mentioned DLC content.

A Christmas Carol, The Adventures of Pinocchio, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, Moby Dick, Romeo and Juliet, Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and Treasure Island.

Of course, I'm 110% sure all of those books are going to be on it.

Yeah I hope all of those are included

I just bought Frankenstein and I have not started yet. I also would like to see Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

I am really curious to see what DLC will be added. Maybe like different styles of book marks

I'm pretty sure the DLC will be more books.

Dracula isn't on the list of books, and nor is Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Tony.

If you haven't got an e-reader like a Kindle, this is a great value cartridge. Text is easy to read, and the resolution, while not ideal, is good enough that you don't get tired reading the books. Once you have a Kindle, though, it's pointless.

As for DLC, It's just more books. The list of additional books that is available through download isn't updated either (or at least, hasn't been updated since release in Europe) - so, you get another 10 books to download.

Those books were posted on IGN's live blog

"9:18: New first-party game, 100 Classic Books. Features everything from Dracula to Journey to the Center of the Earth. Basically, public domain stuff that Nintendo doesn't have to pay for but can make millions with. $19.99 on DS. Free on the Internet, but hey. "

They made it sound like those were official books included, but I'm not certain. We'll just have to keep an eye on that when the software is released.

Well, if it's the same game as 100 Classic Books in Europe and Australia, which I own, it doesn't have Dracula or Journey.

That said, they may well have tweaked the book list to appeal more to the American audience.

So happy we're FINALLY getting this. Been waiting for a long while!

This looks amazing. Alice in Wonderland and a whole bunch of other awesome books are in it! Will most likely buy it, though I'm a bit disappointed that there are no Jules Verne works in it.

Sherlock Holmes FTW. What's this? No Agatha Christie? For shame!

Agatha Christie died 34 years ago, so her works will not enter the public domain for at least another 46 years. So if Ninty wanted to include any of her books, they would have to purchase publishing rights. All the books included, they didn't have to pay for, to use.

Ah, I see! Thanks for the explanation. Did not realize that's how they decided which books were included.
