@Meowpheel Haven't checked the email yet, lemme do that. But, I got it in the notification box. Clicking on it takes me to the page but the post still isn't there. I imagine then you also got my mention while I was ignoring you.

EDIT: Got it in the e-mail (double checked the time too, sent it right away). That's interesting I can see the comment there, even though it won't show up on the forums. I kinda screwed this up, but I think I salvaged it.

I guess we found a bug then!

I mean, I'd like to assume that you shouldn't be receiving notifications or emails from users you're trying to ignore.

Lately I've seen lots of users making posts just to complain about other users without discussing anything about the article. Hopefully people will make use of the ignore feature instead now.

Eh, I dont care if a person disagrees. It's the Internet... people disagree. As long as a person is moderate I'm curious to hear their pov. But this feature will be a Godsend to ignore troll posts, and extreme, one-sided posts, and those just seeking attention, selling out their opinions for the highest like count.

@Meowpheel yep, I thought of this (notifications) over the weekend, and will be adding the block into that too today. That means you won't get a notification by a user that you ignore.

@faint @the_shpydar this feature has nothing to do with the JonTron thread. Whenever comments get reported to the moderation team someone will take a look into it. The mods work really hard to try and keep things civil for everyone and we ban people for breaking the rules on an almost daily basis. I'm really proud that we have a community where this actively happens, 99% of gaming sites have little to no moderation and therefore I feel we're doing the best we can with the time/resource available.

This feature is more for those that can't resist/stand certain people and their point of view (on games!). We've had some people ask for a while if they could have the ability to ignore certain people that would make their time on the site much better. So we've added it

This is actually a really good idea, and I've made a note of it. We want to add some new features to the comments section (changing sort direct etc) so this would be cool too. Thanks!

This should now be fixed too. It checks the ignore list before sending out a notification.

I wonder how many people are ignoring my lol. Can't say I blame them some days. 😉
