Okay, then. Whatever you do, don't make me a moderator.
I'd say to take this advice. :3
But seriously, do you have to be old enough?Like, is there a certain age you have to be?
Yes, the age limit was 8, but after they made an exception for that one mod(see: Prosody), it's gone up to 60.

How often do they choose new Mods?
125. Posted: Thu 29th Jul 2010 20:55 BST
@Nintenzo: Chicken Brutus was made a mod last July, and V and I were brought onto the team last October. There have been no new moderators added since.... probably because I take care of about 80-90% of everything that goes down, hahaha :3

Okay, thanks. Maybe we'll just have to MAKE a spot for a new moderator... heh, heh. I mean, I'll probably become one eventually!

Speaking of V: I noticed when someone revived one of the threads where he participated in, he did not have a shield by his name. Maybe he's too busy for the site?

I used to moderate some gaming forums... tough work. So I have respect for the mods, and the mods here on Nintendo Life do a great job (better than I was, haha)

I don't know why I'm not a moderator yet.

@StarBoy: I haven't seen V in months now. I know he's got a full plate IRL, and I also know he had a few projects in the works for a long time that were about to see action finally. I hope he's doing well, though I do miss hanging out with 'im

So, Mods can review games, too?
132. Posted: Fri 30th Jul 2010 23:25 BST
@Nintenzo: not off the bat, no -- the base moderator privs do not include access to the review system. I know I was asked a couple months into it if I could help out with download reviews because I had a DSi, though, and Phil was already a newswriter before he was made a moderator. V never did any reviews, even though they really wanted him to (he writes rather eloquently).

They must review bad games and puzzle games and bad puzzle games. jk
And Yeah, reViews would have been awesome!!!

Okay, thanks. I don't think I would be that good at reviewing, anyway.Banning, heck yeah, deleting forum topics, sure, but reviewing, nope.
135. Posted: Sat 31st Jul 2010 10:05 BST
There's about 1,000,000 other tasks and responsibilities that come with the badge too. It's not all bans and deletions (actually, it mostly is.)
I am not ignoring you. I just do not post much.

Managing the NintendoLife collection and taking it to the Salvation Army, making sure every NL user pays their taxes, meeting with diplomats from other sites and discussing complex video game website managing stuff...
They do everything.

Okay. I could probably handle "everything."
