I haven't bought any Amiibos yet.. but I'm going to do my best to get Shulk, Meta Knight, Ike and Mega Man at retail price. I tried to get Lucario and was there when Toys R Us opened, but they said that the truck hadn't arrived with them yet.. when a couple days beforehand they said that they had 20 of them in the back, lol. LIARS! You could imagine my disappointment. It was just me and one other guy, too.. I would have bought two, I told a friend of mine I'd grab one for him. He's really mad at Nintendo recently.. said he's boycotting them, heh.
It's worth noting that Rosalina isn't anywhere near as rare as you guys seem to think. I'm still fairly certain that she's the second most common one next to Bowser from this wave. It's just that this retailer exclusive thing in the US has made people go nuts it seems. Rushing at single stores, buying multiples etc.
The thing is though, is that Target got A LOT of stock of Rosalina, but that's it. That ONE shipment of Rosalina, is all they are getting. So I don't think she'll be as rare as Meta Knight or Shulk is going to be, but she will still be rare. Especially when the SMB Rosalina comes out and replaces this one.
My guess is that to the extent that that's true it's also true for a lot of other ones. Personally I'm not that convinced about the "only one shipment" thing given the same was said for previous characters that are now confirmed to be restocked. So I reckon she's more common than people think.
That said "common Amiibo" is a bit of an oxymoron. I think of Mario and Pikachu as the most common ones and when I do see them in the shops it's only one or two in stock if that. More often than not you don't see any Amiibo at all. One or two that never seem to sell but only a couple of them just the same. Anyways, I haven't been to the shops for a week so I don't know how things actually are right now outside of twitter pics and stock checkers. I guess I'll have to go down again and see what the state of things are a week after Wave 3's launch.

i pre-ordered four Lucarios at my local toys r us, then two online. 2 are mine to keep. one to use and one to keep in box. one is going to my best friend, one to my friend in canada if they cant get one, and the rest will be prizes for a panel i'm doing at a convention. the two rosalina i got at target at release. i waited outside at one and then i got one, then i went to another target a few miles away and got another

actually the first target is 5 minutes from my house, and the other one is about 15 minutes from there. and the toys r us is about 3 minutes from my house. i live within 5 minutes of every retailer with an exclusive Amiibo
Dang, you're pretty lucky then, I only know of one Toys R Us and it's a half an hour away, and my nearest Best Buy is also half an hour away. While I know of quite a few Gamestops, the nearest one to me is about 20 minutes away.

i'm in-between busy and nowhere. best buy is between Target and Toys R Us, and my Gamestop is right next to the Target, as well as Walmart if they get an exclusive. where if i drive 5 minutes in the other direction from those stores, there's a whole lotta nothin'. I actually pick up all my friends pre-orders and stuff. the employees and managers all know my friends and I, so they let me do it. As well as i get phone calls on when they get new shipments and first dibs on any Amiibos
Nabbed her! They really did have a lot. They had lots of various scuffs and bad paint jobs though. It was hard to find one that looked good. Overall they seemed to be about the quality amiibos were when they first hit shelves.
