Just wondering what everyone's favourite amiibo is (so far..) and why? I'm not talking about the rarest, just which one you think looks the best overall to you etc.
Personally I had no intention at all of buying any amiibo's, but, after getting the Yoshi's Woolly World bundle I have since added a few other amiibo to my collection.
For me it's a close call between Toon Link and my latest amiibo that arrived today "Splatoon" Inkling Boy, but, I just have to give the edge to my newest arrival simply because I love all the little detail all over the amiibo, very impressed with it.
I have opened some of my amiibo and kept a few sealed, I am totally torn on what to do with the Inkling Boy at the moment, part of me wants to keep it sealed as it looks so good, but, then again I really like the sound of the extra content you unlock with this particular amiibo.
It's funny how the Splatoon amiibo's seem to have had more effort go into them, especially in terms of detail than some of the more known Nintendo characters, saying that I do like my Toon Link as well, quite basic in terms of overall detail (sword & shield look pretty good mind), but looks just like he does in Zelda Wind Waker so it's pretty near perfect.
It also probably helps that I'm having a blast with Splatoon of late, so maybe I appreciate the Inkling Boy character more, but, looks really good anyway, the detail on the trainers and paint gun etc. look fantastic IMO.
I would probably say Smash Yoshi. Super Mario Yoshi is bigger but his stance isn't very interesting. The reason I say Yoshi is because I have gotten the most use out of that character compared to a lot of others. I do treasure my Ike however. He is my second main in Smash and my wife bought it for me.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Lucina or Sheik. I love their poses and I'm just stoked that they exist. Amiibo can make me cranky sometimes but I've been waiting on this since the opening sequence in Melee.

But since I've never actually seen Robin in person, I would like to day that Dark Pit looks amazing. The pain job, details, and even the face, which they rarely get right for characters without giant cartoon faces, all look on-point.
Shulk also looks outstanding, considering he has such a complicated design!
From the regular Smash amiibos, I'd say Ganondorf. The sheer amount of detail is baffling, and he's a very impressive and manly character to boot. But I'll assume Palutena is gonna be rockin' hot, and she on her way into my collection, so she might actually be a bit better.
On the other hand, I find the Inkling Girl really adorable, and she easily outshines the others.
mega man (his pose and paint job) and jiggly (the eyes) and charizard (flame tail and wings and look on face.)
and the splatoon trio, the design and color is outstanding! and the ink on the stand.
Probably not all that surprising, given my username, but Olimar. I think his amiibo looks fantastic. Amiibo often have disappointing faces, but his is so big and cartoony this isn't a problem - his face looks exactly as it should - and the detail on his spacesuit is excellent. The three pikmin look great too, with nice detail on their leaf, bud and flower. The little light on top of his helmet is made with clear purple plastic as well; a nice touch, imo.
Cartoony characters do tend to look better; Charizard, Ness and the Inklings are favourites, but I also think Ganondorf looks brilliant. Somehow, there is very little sloppy work on my figure despite his high level of detail. I'm not sure if I was lucky or not.
IMO nearly all amiibo are great anyway
tl;dr Olimar, Ness, Charizard, Splatoon, Ganondorf
My favorite amiibo, out of the ones I have, is most definitely Pac-Man. He's perfectly spherical, his paint is a vibrant yellow, and his cartoon-y expression looks so cool.
My favorite amiibo outside of the ones I have are probably the 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo. I don't know which color I like better. I'll probably go with the classic color scheme to stay true to the original game, but the red and blue combo is really cool on SMB1 Mario.

I'm sorry but I just love my Ness Amiibo so much. I currently have three in total (Ness, Inkling Boy & Pikachu) and I do plan on getting a Kirby at some point and maybe a Lucas once he's released, but Ness will always be the one I've been wanting since the concept was revealed by Nintendo.
I really do hope they make an Amiibo-centric game at some point, and I do think that to get more out of our Amiibo, they'll make new games tailored to each one. Like how Project S.T.E.A.M specifically uses the Fire Emblem line. But yeah, back on topic, I LOVE my Ness! xD
Never take anything I say seriously. S'all you buddy. ;)
Mainly play on my Switch but I have 3DS, Wii U and PS4 as well.
Fave game series include: Pokemon, Smash Bros, Splatoon, Disgaea, Bayonetta, Dragons Dogma, Phantasy Star & Arena of Valor.
I love all my amiibo, but my 3 favorites are Palutena, the amount of detail is insanely good. She's gorgeous! Link comes next, he's another amiibo with tons of details and Pac-Man surprised me. His design is simple but he looks like he came straight off the arcade cabinet.
