Not entirely true, at least not for me anyway. I got an email on Tuesday from the Official Nintendo Store UK saying that's it's been posted. Earlier today, I got an email saying a parcel has been delivered, so I think Lucas will be waiting for me when I get back home.
Same deal for me, my order from Nintendo UK store for the Lucas amiibo, plus the other Animal Crossing amiibo released this week all shipped a couple days ago, and got delivered today.
I guess Nintendo UK Store gets priority over all other retailers.
I've also heard from people who ordered from Nintendo Store that have received their orders for Lucas.
My order with ShopTo and I got an email from the today saying.
Dear Customer.
We are writing to you with reference to your pre order of 'Lucas Amiibo'. Unfortunately we have just been advised from Nintendo UK that there has been a delay with the time this item will be with us. This is now scheduled to arrive on Tuesday the 2nd and we will ship these straight away, or if this is no longer wanted this can be cancelled in the pre-order section of your account.
We apologise for any problems this may have caused.

Also a friend mentioned that Game hadn't shipped their order yet, as of about 5pm today.

LOL yeah, Just hope it's not Yodel making the delivery to the retailers. Else it will either be on the roof or not even attempted to be delivered.
But for real this is the first time ShopTo has had to contact regarding a shipping delay so close to a items release and I've been using them regularly since 2009.
