$30 bucks? You better ask a more avid collector, though. But why didn't you show the stand with amiibo on it in the video? I wanted to see the finish product the way it was meant to be displayed.
I don't collect amiibos at all but was really impressed by this stand. Clearly had a lot of work put into it and from what I can see - looks like its of a sturdy build and high quality.
If I collected the figures - I'd expect to pay quite a bit for this. Whatever you do, don't undersell the work that goes into something like this. I'm from the UK and think £50 sounds fair - so what would that be - about 75 dollars?
It's an impressive sized stand that should house a major collection - if Nintendo was selling these I could imagine them putting them out for closer to £100 - considering the lights. The only stands I've seen have housed about 6 amiibo or so.
How many hours does the build take? Take that into account - chuck on the price for the parts and make a guestimate from there. If I liked amiibo I'd be really interested in one of these. In fact - one of the reasons I dislike them so much is I can't stand cluttered bits and pieces on a shelf
With all the credentials of a random internet person I can personally guarantee that this thing would sell like hotcakes. I agree with @LaVelle, don't undersell this if you decide to make more. People will pay good money for this level of craftsmanship.
Actually, $30 is pretty low for something handcrafted so well, now that I think about it. I definitely wouldn't pay more than $30, but I'm sure many others would.
I would look at etsy for comparable prices. I will say that as an amiibo collector those would sell quite well. I've been meaning to make a stand myself at some point...

@whodatninja: Haha! I throw my boxes away so I have two shelves that look like the trophy table in smash. Which is cool from that perspective but not when I'm actually looking for a particular amiibo.

@amii-stands, yes, I think you should sell this. I don't know an exact price, but given what people pay for amiibo themselves combined with the time, materials and craftsmanship it takes to make it, I think you can sell them for decent coin.
Dude, this is incredible! When I clicked the link to the video, I wasn't expecting much, but you blew my mind! I really love what you did with the neon lights, as well as the special setup for the Splatoon amiibo. I'd love to have one of these, but it'd probably be too costly for me. If you were to sell these things, I imagine it would be very pricey, considering all the hard work and resources you put into this thing, but I'm sure there are lots of people who'd be willing to pay. How tightly do the amiibo fit in the holes? Is it a perfect fit, or is there space to move them around?
Also, based on your username, I'm guessing you made this Nintendo Life account for this sole purpose.
I it looks really good but unfortunately wouldn't work for me. I have lots of amiibos but I put them around my entertainment system next to the TV, so there is only so much room, even with lifters and things to get them in higher rows.
I really like the Splattoon set up at the end. Very detailed, and like others said, you can sell these for much more than 30$.
