Topic: Overwriting Amiibo..

Hi, so, just asking if when you overwrite an amiibo, do you lose all the items you have 'fed' to it previously? Or do they come back as items? I have a Link which I feel like I trained the wrong way, and all he does is jump around and avoid everyone, and counter attack where he can, but he has some decent stuff on him.
