Why does Nintendo mass produce ones we don't care about, but not the ones that are cared about?
Well, Nintendo IS doing that, but the problem is, that everyone knows this and therefor everyone is after the so called rare ones. Believe me that when everything on Amiibo has settled down that those so called rare ones will be flooding the second handed market and will go down in price rapidly. This is the stock exchange crash all over again
Nintendo figured every one wanted mario and pals and not the games that have a fan base of people who actually can buy these any time they want. i want to buy an extra Mario just to use as target practice
Why does Nintendo mass produce ones we don't care about, but not the ones that are cared about?
Well because the ones you "care about" you only "care about" because they didn't produce as many. Not everyone is a collector. There are some people like me who are only picking up the "common" ones purely because some people only care about the characters they actually like. If Mario was rare then there'd be a lot more people complaining because Mario is the one everyone wants.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
you basically just repeated the same sentence over about 3 times in different wording. not every one is a collector but seems like a whole lot more are scalpers making some rarer than others

I assume you're referring to what I said? I don't think you quite understand what I was trying to say given you said I repeated myself three times and then said something completely unrelated to what I was saying. Let me spell it out for you
Why does Nintendo mass produce ones "we" don't care about?
because "we" only care about the ones that are hard to find because they are hard to find
the thing is only collectors want WFT while everyone wants a Mario, so of course they made more Marios
If instead they had equal amounts of but more of each the shelves would be full of WFT (because who wants WFT?)
If the shelves were full of WFT and Mario was impossible to find? There'd be a whole lot more people complaining
(implied: they actually are producing more of the ones people care about)
your very welcome. my brother in law told me about it. took about 2 weeks to get my figures. perfect condition. i actually got mine last night after ordering them on the. 5th or 7th.
I decided to reveal how many Marths I own because he is marked as "common" now. Now Please, don't be mad because my collecting knowledge and experience I know who is going to be coveted and worth something in the future.
