Mine has good quality and it's already usable in several games

I am waiting for Toon Link, and I think Yoshi will have the most uses. He can be used in Smash, Mario Kart. He will be used in Yoshi's Wooly World and Mario Party. I am betting Captain Toad is just going to use already existing Mario character Amiibo (including Yoshi)

Link so far has Smash, Kart, and Hyrule Warriors.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

That's a good call re: Yoshi! To me he's useless in Smash, but he's always been my character in Mario Kart... now I might get a Yoshi..

Yoshi's actually a REALLY good character in smash now

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Yoshi is the best in Smash (my main since Ice Clombers were cut)

Link was the first one I pre-ordered, so learning about the Hyrule Warriors unlock and the Mario Kart suits was bonus. I'm getting Fox for the Mario Kart support as well. Kind of surprised there's no Pikachu racing suit, but then I suppose they might always add more later.

If the Amibos change how the game plays substantially for Captain Toad I will definitely go for it. (Like say playing it as Wario - like Mario 64 DS did).

In terms of functionality Link and Yoshi are great choices right now and also for the future - we'll see support for these grow.
Hopefully Nintendo find ways to make obscure amiibo compatible with more games. Why not have Wii Fit Trainer an unlockable character in Fire Emblem X SMT? Make it happen Ninty!

I got Fox because he's usable with Smash, Mario Kart, Hyrule Warriors and is going to be with the new Star fox.

I'm a Danish gamer, but I mostly play on Nintendo hardware. I love gaming local co-op, and playing Mario Kart with my cousin (she's owning me btw!)
My favourite game franchises are Super Smash Bros. & Sly Cooper.

Also Mario because he'll probably be usable with almost every game

I was at a store yesterday to get a last minute Samus amiibo for a friend. Clerk told me that Link and Samus were the ones that got sold the most.

And I saw a bunch of Yoshis so it does not seem to be that popular. Of course WFT was nowhere to be found. So I went with a Wreck-it Ralph figurine. The clerk told me that it would not be compatible in Smash Bros, though!

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Almost every dane has either an Xbox One or PS4 (except me), so there's plenty of both WFT, Villagers and Marths over here. Actually is every figure available, also the GC adapter xD

You should try to sell them around here. You would get rich in no time.

If you were to judge the figurines by their looks, Link doesn't fare all that well, with the orange support digging into his thigh. But if you're looking for support in games... the biggest difference to other amiibos in games currently supporting amiibos would probably be Link's unlockable weapon in Hyrule Warriors.

At first I didn't plan on getting the Link amiibo just because of the yellow support beam, but I find that it really isn't that bad. I think the colored supports look a lot worse behind a white background where you can clearly see them stick out; to me, they're less noticeable otherwise. This is also the case with Fox's dark blue supports, which I also didn't plan buying at first because of them.

The one thing I still do not like about the Link amiibo is his angle, as his face is pointed somewhat to the ground and you can't really see his face. It's minor, however, and still good quality overall.

Anyways, if you have Hyrule Warriors, I would definitely recommend getting the Link amiibo. The Spinner is so far one of the most fun weapons in the game, I'm having a blast with it. However as others have said Yoshi looks to be a good choice, as do the Kirby and Mario characters, if you get those games. Just get the amiibos for games you're actually planning to get.

Link was the first one I got due to me owning every game he was compatible with- I used him as a trial run of sorts.

Then I caught the fever...

Now I own 5 amiibos, all custom painted.

In my opinion though, link is the most bang for your buck - though I'm sure that will change.
