Sorry if I am totally blind and have missed it but I didn't see Toad on any of the lists for Amiibos. I would have thought he was an obvious choice but then what do I know. Perhaps "too many" characters from Mario but I would have thought Toad more popular than Rosalina.
Also forgive me for repeating myself I asked this on another forum and I don't believe anyone answered. Does anyone know when (if they aren't already) "Wave 3" Amiibos will be available to pre-order in the UK/Europe. They are listed on Amazon.com but absent from the UK and French sites.
Toad isn't a SSB character so he doesn't yet have an amiibo. As for preordering the third wave doesn't launch untill January/Febaury so I'm guessing sometime in December we'll be able to pre order
Everything can change, but I'm never changing who I am

I'm guessing that, since Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is going to be Amiibo-compatible, there'll be a Captain toad amiibo down the road.
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

well reggie confirmed at e3 that the whole smash line up would be made into amiibos but I don't think it includes Miis
Unless they sell them exactly as they appear as trophies
These would absolutely never sell.
I remember reading somewhere that Nintendo was looking into the possibility of some kind of Mii amiibo creator. Kind of like how Harmonix used to have a system where you could buy quality figurines of characters you created in Rock Band 2. Whether it happens in the end with amiibo, no-one knows.

Even though I'm not sure how possible that idea is, I could understand something like that being a good option for Mii amiibos. I just think using the generic, default Mii Fighters in that image as amiibos is a bad idea. Miis are blank, unidentifiable characters — the point of them is to make up your own, not choose the default design. They have no identity, unlike most Nintendo icons which people would actually like to have a figure of. I can't speak for everyone of course, but I just can't see Mii amiibos having a lot of appeal.
I'm sure there will be a general kirby, and maybe a wario if they decide to do more with him. I was hoping for a pikmin one (aside from olimar from smash) but that will likely never happen now.

Oh yeah, I would totally love if they made assist trophies as amiibos after they release all the fighters first. But how would they work in Smash? Maybe they will just be cheaper amiibos (because they have less functionality) and they will just let you summon assist trophies. I would still buy them for the right price of course. I just had a great idea, why not make Amiibos based on e-shop games and then have those amiibos unlock that game for free on the e-shop? Okay, wave 1 of Assist trophies idea:
1. Chain Chomp
2. Dark Samus
3. Knuckle Joe
4. Shadow
5. Mother Brain
6 Ghirahim
7. Nintendog
I think those would all make great figures that would be popular enough to sell.
Wave 1 of e-shop characters idea:
1. Tanooki Mario (unlocks SMB3)
2. Classic Link (unlocks ALttP)
3. Fusion Suit Samus (unlocks Metroid Fusion)
4. Beam Kirby (unlocks Kirby Superstar. Beam Kirby was on the front of that game's cover.)
5. Donkey Kong with Barrel (unlocks Donkey Kong)
I doubt that would happen, as assist trophies are items found in the game, and they appear at random. How would you level them up, as they would exclusively be for Smash? That brings another point-there's no way Nintendo would make amiibo only for one game... the whole idea that sets it apart from Skylanders and DI is how they can be used on all sorts of Nintendo games.
