Wow I didn't realize we only had that many left. I'm curious to know what will happen with the Mii's and DLC characters. I'm feeling like they'll skip them, unless someone has heard otherwise...?
Kinda want Duck Hunt tbh.

I feel like they'll either give us the Amiibo Cards for Smash, or they'll actually produce more Amiibo of previous waves, or they'll just let it glide as it is for a while on restocking the common ones until Splatoon and more Amiibo "heavy" games come along. Kinda feels like any of those outcomes are possible imo.

I'm hoping the cards are next. (I have no use for the figures)

For the rest of the year I hope we see restocks June-August, then next wave of Super Mario series in September, Yarn Yoshi and possibly Xenoblade Chronicles X Amiibos in October, then the last set of non-DLC Smash 4 character Amiibos in November or December. That would let them announce restocks at E3 (crowd goes crazy for that) and have Smash figures in store for Christmas. Obviously the Yarn Yoshi and XCX Amiibos would need wiggle room for whenever their respective games are released.

Also I would like to see the Super Mario series Amiibos get functionality in Mario Maker. Each character would let you play as that character in your levels, the Mario figure would give you a special power up for any level (maybe just infinite Star Power for 1 level per day or something)

so.... if the cards do exactly what the figures do, what use do you have for them?

So they waited till the very end to release ROB, Duck Hunt and Mr. G&W? They're all so obscure that I'm sure they'll all be really hard to get. =P

I'm not sure what kind of amiibo series they'll do next, but they might be wise to cater to the fans since that's what makes amiibo so popular. So instead of coming out with more Super Mario amiibo, come out with something that the more devoted fans will really get into. Like, I don't know, Star Fox, or Fire Emblem, or Metroid. Just a thought...

That's a great idea! A really good use of amiibo.

I'm very interested in their uses but I haven't bought any because I don't want the figures.

so you just want the content but not the figures? lol, i bet there are only a few of you out there!

i expect a amiibo centric game like infinity or skylanders if ninty made them. people will rush to buy it becuse they already have the figures and it will be cheaper than it's competition because you don't have to buy a portal. it will come with the worlds on disc from the most common popular characters link,mario,kirby and later they will have a mix of free and paid dlc for less popular ones around the time they get reprints. the writing is on the wall on this one.

@PinkSpider You forgot about Falco, definitely odd that a well known Star Fox character is put right at the end of the main lineup.

I too want DLC to be removed from amiibo and for it to work solely as their Smash use as well as maybe a amiibo centric game like skylanders, infinity and dimensions. The Captain Falcon mii costume should be available to everyone, not just the select few who managed to get the amiibo. Same as that everyone should be able to unlock all weapons in Splatoon without having to buy the rare squid amiibo, the list goes on.

Has Falco been announced?

I remember when Amiibo was 1st announced, and they said they would do one for every fighter in smash, they also said that would include a generic Mii Amiibo. And re: Mewtwo and Lucas, they said that they would be getting their own Amiibo in the most recent direct.

That is what I want. Probably going to end up getting the Splatoon ones but I don't want the plastic junk just to play the complete game.

I want the Smash line to end when they are done with all the characters. My fear is that they are planning variants for all the characters that look like the Alt. trophies in the game.

I reckon we'll likely see Super Mario Range for some or all of the crew in Mario Party 10.

So a Super Mario Wario, Rosalina, possibly Daisy, possibly Waluigi.

That said, I would love if we get an amiibo world that faint mentions, as that'd be fun. I wouldn't be that sad if after the Smash Bros amiibos that Nintendo resort to just cards though. They could make far more of them!

I'll likely need to be thrown in the wacky shack if I can't get a hold of Mr. Game & Watch due to some more annoying exclusivity.

If anything, that is my 'gotta have' amiibo.

R.O.B and Mr Game and Watch are two of my secondaries in Smash Bros. Got very lucky with getting Wii Fit Trainer and I have Ness pre-ordered.

im betting that nintendo will start reprinting groups in large numbers by the end of summer/mid fall and the scalper bubble will pop. you will have another chance.

Hopefully after they finish Smash, they'll just concentrate on restocking every single one so people have a chance to get them
