I'd say Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Castlevania, etc. are all pretty popular, but that's neither here nor there.
All I know is that I would double- or even triple-dip for portable EarthBound on 3DS.
Final Fantasy games sucked after the 16-bit era. Same for Castlevania. I don't know too much about Resident Evil or Metal Gear Solid games, but I hated all of the recent Metal Gear and Resident Evil games except for Revelations. Crash Bandicoot is one of the only games I would buy from the PlayStation. For PlayStation 2, I would probably buy Time Splitters, Star Wars Battlefront, and... um... Silent Hill. I can't think of anything else. To be fair, I believe that Silent Hill had a reboot for Wii.

Well I'd much rather have GBA games (Yes, even if they're being emulated as 'badly' as the ambassador titles - I'd still buy more), but at this point with the VC its pretty much take what you can get, because Nintendo don't care about the service.
The only emulators I am happy with are GBC (3DS) and GBA (Wii U) if SNES is as good as that on 3DS I will go for that. (I really don't like the mandated filter on Wii U SNES and it doesn't play quite right - I have even tried with a CRT and it isn't that).

Star Fox SNES. I don't know anything about the legal issues surrounding the Super FX chip, but I think this would be the perfect excuse to develop a 3D Classics remake of Star Fox SNES.
Do you really want to pay $8 again to own them on the handheld? Nintendo charged $5 for NES games on 3DS VC regardless of whether you already bought them on Wii or Wii U VC and they will do the same if they put SNES games on 3DS VC.
i think alot of the gamers asking for snes on the 3ds only have a 3ds. i could be wrong but if not.....this ruins your argument.

The same idiots who want this are the same idiots who have it on their WiiU already, and probably their Wii menu which they paid $1-3 to upgrade to the WiiU. LETS PLAY THE SAME EXACT GAME FOR ALL ETERNITY. SNES, GBA, WII, WIIU, 3DS, NX, AND BEYOND.

Or you could get a Suoer Nintendo (or even a clone machine capable of playing Super Nintendo games). Sure, it wouldn't be as affordable, but beggars can't be choosers...
Or you can just ignore it get a full NTSCU Romset.
Raspberry Pi 2 with the SNES GPIO adapter and case.
Real Controllers.
Buy them on the next handheld. (As far as I know I have bought everything I properly played using zsnes on the VC that I could some of them I have never played and possibly never will).
Or a SNES with a flashcart / the supercic mod and a few select NTSC-J games (Like Yoshi's Island / Super Mario Kart (Attaching the DSP-1 to the flashcart seems like more effort than its worth and it needs the cart anyway)
