The game is a classic. I already have the SNES version, and my only disappointment is that they included the Yoshi's Story sound effects/voice acting. I might also play Mario Bros. a bit today.

Its my absolute favorite game I have to say. I already played it a bit on my brothers DSi last year. It was so cute. But this version appeals more to me. I guess its because its just more classic. Really like it. Specially the intro. Its just great...music, sound, story, all matches. Same ingame. Controls, sound effects, background musics. Seen 2 endbosses so far. Absolutely great
Yoshis Island -> One big experience of nice videogame arts! (imo) ....and I demand a Yoshi retail game for 3DS!
I am loving how the original Mario Bros. is included, too! That was the game that started it all. (Well, that one and the original arcade Donkey Kong.) I never played Yoshi's Island before and am loving it!

if you haven't played this game before, you're in for a treat. Honestly one of my favorite games ever with one of the best final boss battles of all time.

I honestly have never played it until now, but I do remember Yoshi from (is it Super Mario 3?) One of those games. Can't remember... but he was definitely riding Yoshi around and I remember the whole tongue thing. hehe

Yes! Super Mario World! hehe Thanks for remembering for me. I'm loving this game so far! I love the style of the game, very quasi cartoonish/abstract, I'm loving it

...Is it just me or was there more worlds in the original? o.0 ...checks some random site, lol Could've sworn there was more. xD EDIT: Nope...huh, weird...lol
I heard Yoshi's Island on GBA has extra bonus levels besides the ones on Snes. I mean other than the ones you unlock for getting 100% scores on every stage. Is that correct?

Yeah there's an extra stage per world. You unlock them when you beat the game.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this game. I played and beat it before but don't remember it being this good. Its different enough from the Mario formula to make it stand on its own. I'm not the biggest fan of the Mario formula either. Really enjoying this so far. Probably my second or third favorite of the ten.
Great game, but I'm only in the second world. I get quite tired of tracking down all the coins / flowers / stars in these long, long, long levels just to slip off a platform, die instantly, and start over with none of it. I really wish the levels were shorter, or at least that there were more checkpoints or fewer instant deaths.
There's a lot of great stuff I can say about this one...but I don't want to play it since I end up so frustrated! haha
I remember playing this game at a freinds house a long time ago, and now I finaly own it, and it is sooo much funner than I remember , I just 100% completed all the levels in the first 2 worlds
I am really enjoying my time with Yoshi's Island so far, great game. I'm only half way through the second world and already I can tell it's going to be one of my favorites. The game did freeze on me once though but at least it saves after every level. Anyone else have the same problem? (with this or any of the GBA games?)

It's like a crayon drawing come to life. Yoshi's Island is an amazing game, and all you Ambassadors got a great deal with all those GBA games.
Too bad I bought my 3DS a few weeks after the price drop...
I decided to go for a 100% score on every level and holy crap it's exausting! I'm only through the first world and had to take a break. I just spent 40 minutes trying to get a perfect score on the bonus stage. It's that one called "Poochy ain't stupid." I was about to punch the wall. That stage is one pain in the rear. Ugh!
