Where can I get 3D glasses? The only place I knkow that has them is the theater, but they make you give them back.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

I would prefer the color to be re-done in BW. I would definitely get them just out of curiosity.

I've heard Wario Land is good so I would love to see that!

You do know that the 3DS gives you 3D without the glasses right?

If you are talking about wanting to bring the 3D glasses from the theater home, they would not work with 3D TV because the tech is different. 3D in the theater uses "passive" stereoscopic technology using polarized 3D glasses to give you the 3D effect and 3D HDTVs use "active" stereoscopic technology using electronic active shutter technology to give you the 3D effect. Sega used this tech back in the late 80's with their Segascope 3-D games. If you are talking about the 3D using the red and blue images although this is a passive type of 3D tech the movie theater glasses will not work with this either. This is anaglyph 3D but the good news is that you can buy high quality plastic anaglyph 3D glasses verses the paper ones at on line retailers like www.amazon.com. Just make sure you get the color of lenses right because not all anaglyph movies/videos use the red and blue.

Of course with the 3DS you do not need any of this because the screen itself is designed to send the different images to each of your eyes provided you are looking at the screen at the right angle or "sweet spot".

If they were put at the $5 or less level I would, but any more would just be criminally stupid as almost every last of them were short and shallow, easily done in under an hour, some were just NES level point racking. Only a select few had some meat to them like Wario Land, and others annoyingly didn't save scores when they should (pinball, etc high score crunchers) which was bad. I could see pitching an extra buck if all them saved though but like GB stuff I'd hope depending on content the price varied say from $3-5.

Wario Land would be pretty sweet. Not so sure about the others, but maybe.

I'd actually really enjoy trying out Virtual Boy games. I never owned one, so I'd like to see what they made for the system. I wouldn't want upgraded graphics though, saves me money and keeps the feeling much more Virtual Boy.

Yes I would. Mainly just Wario Land and Mario Clash. With restore points, we can FINALLY play ALL 96 levels of Mario Clash without getting a massive headache! YAY!!!!!

WHAT THE PROBLEM IS?!

Hell yeah I'd take some VB games on 3DS. Certainly more portable than lugging my Virtual Boy around. Why not remake some of them in colour while they're at it.

None of these things will happen of course, but we can but dream...

The VB games could happen easily enough I believe, the games themselves are coded with dual images one for each screen for the eyes, so the potential is there to take what it feeds to two optics and make some graphical wrapper to have it display to the 3DS as a solitary screen or two with the slider split it. It's technically doable for sure, but I would not count on recoloring them beyond choosing black and white or red and black.

There is hope. Remember what they did with Excite Bike. The was orginally 2D and they re-did that game in 3D under 3D Classics

This showed some effort on their part. Shortly afterwards they announced that making 3D-Classics (putting some effort into improving games on the eShop) was too difficult and stated that there were therefore only going to be 6 of them in total. The team then proclaimed how lucky the world is that they are working so hard to give us those 6 games and put them up for £5.40 each.

actually it depends on the tv. I have an LG 3D TV, and it uses the passive glasses....the ones from movie theaters work fine with it.

Yeah, I just found out about that.

LG has decided to break away from the (money hungry) established 3D TV makers and give us passive tech 3D. It works great in the theaters and costs a lot less than active shutter 3D TVs.

I knew I did not want to get an active shutter 3D set and I wanted to wait for 3D without the glasses like the 3DS but these new 3D LG TVs with passive 3D are looking really nice price wise. I know the 3D without the glasses TVs will cost a lot more.

Again I can't believe Nintendo would put so much effort into a game like Urban Champion, a game not originally made in 3D and make it in 3D. With a lot less work they could bring out existing 3D games from the Virtual Boy and give us a color option.

Sometimes I think Nintendo is successful despite itself.

If anyone's interested I made an .mpo from a frame of this video (or similar) and uploaded it to twitpic a few days ago.

I haven't tried any of the other VB games but if they're anything like Wario Land they used the 3D very well. No sore eyes here..... unless you have a low refresh rate black and red shutter glasses style 3D.
