I don't see why every non-ambassador has this sense of entitlement when clearly they all lost out, big deal guys. Who cares you may as well start Operation What-do-I-Care. You do know that any "Operation" Clearly doesn't work. Nintendo, Xseed and Mistwalker confirmed when they decided to bring over The Last story that it wasn't due to Operation Rainfall (or whatever it was called), it was that Xseed was gonna help with localisation and they knew they could bring it stateside.
Look, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings guys, but I'm letting you know the truth, IF Nintendo decides to give you guys GBA games, they will do it at their speed, not yours. They have to see whether it's financially applicable for them to sell them on the Eshop and whether or not they decide to stick to their promise of only keeping them for ambassadors only is up to them.
How about this, how about you all find some good VC or 3DS games to play and support the eshop, maybe nintendo will notice sales and then decide to release more VC games. Then maybe nintendo will think about GBA games. The reason nintendo put games on 20% off recently, is because games like Super Mario Land weren't selling well because those games had stopped selling, this was probably due to the fact some of the titles have been on since the launch of the Eshop and everyone probably has already played that game.

Remember they are a company/corporation and you are the consumer, Nintendo does listen to its fans, but most of the time it goes in one ear and out the other, believe me I've played video games long enough to know that. That is all

Though you said it in a harsh way...I sort of agree. I do understand that Nintendo will release the games to the Non Ambassadors at their own time, but that doesn't make them wrong for wanting the games.

Nintendo has so many other damn Gameboy and Gameboy Color titles to add onto the VC service, we may never see any GBA titles made available to the general public. Which I won't mind at all, as long as they keep on offering new highly sought after GB & GBC titles.

I'd like to see more VC titles really, there's a ton of GB games that i've never played and I totally like playing them on my 3DS more than my original gameboys for some reason.

@RetroGBHippie92, probably because of the backlight that actually functions properly, and possibly the smooth touch of the circle pad. I'd love to experience some GBA titles on the 3DS, just because of the backlight. I sold my GBA about a month after I bought it in early 2000. I purchased the backlight attachment, but it created a horrible glare on the GBA screen. Which made it even more difficult to try and play games than it was without the backlight attachment. I remember becoming so aggravated when I had to try and play a GBA game at a precise angle, so that I wouldn't see a horrible glare or not be able to barely see what was happening at all. There was only a very small sweet spot inbetween having a glare on the screen and having the GBA placed in an angle which was unplayable.

Ha. You're hilarious. Like we're the jerks because we want to give Nintendo our money. I'll just say it, man. The games are already easily available. And for free. I'd just rather give Nintendo my money to play it on a Nintendo system. If they don't want my money then they won't get it.
Also, don't get so cocky. You like having an intelligent conversation? All you did was spout your opinion like the rest of us do. As for trying not to look like a douche, what's the difference between you and any other yahoo on the internet who acts like his opinion is fact?

I really don't see how it could be too much effort to put games on the VC. People make emulators for free with a lot more features than what Nintendo does. And Nintendo could make the best emulators out of anyone, since they know everything about their systems. Yet, they give us emulators that actually decrease the games' features from the originals. They could be improving them by adding online multiplayer (online, 4-Player Nightmare on Elm St. for the NES), customizable controls, multiple "restore points," etc.

So, I emailed Nintendo about it. Here was their response:

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. I can certainly understand your interest in purchasing the games we made available to those eligible for the Ambassador Program.

While some of the Ambassador Program games are available purchase, we expect the rest of the NES games to be released at some point in the future. At this time, we have no further details about the release of these games to share. I encourage you to keep checking the "News" section on your eShop for the latest release information.

That said, the Game Boy Advance games will remain exclusive to Ambassadors. We have no plans to make them available to purchase in the future. I want you to know that I'll make sure that your interest is documented and forwarded on for further review. We appreciate hearing what products interest our consumers.

Sincerely,

Curtis Neal
Nintendo of America Inc.

So, is the 3DS VC just going to be for GameBoy (Color) and NES games? Or perhaps they're just working on the NES games first before they move on to updating and adding GBA titles. But why couldn't they do both? Is it just a really small team working on VC titles or is there not a dedicated team for working on VC titles?

Some people want to say, "No, you're voice means nothing." What's the point of having a voice if you don't use it?

I for one, am really hoping Nintendo updates the GBA games. I like the majority they gave us, but I don't play them too often if there's Internet access. Just paranoid about missing out on other stuff, I guess...

I'm hoping for more gba games not too far in the future, because i sadly lost my whole collection when I moved. It might have been 30 cartridges I'm gonna get every one of them (so my brother stops complaining about it ). However I need to figure how to expand the 3ds memory its getting full.

Im an ambassador and wont mind others getting those gba games as I basically got them for free and it's been almost a year since.

Btw it probably makes sence that they present gb and gbc titles first.

I dont think Nintendo need to add GBA games anytime soon. Even if they suddenly picked up the pace with VC releases - they still have plenty of NES, GB, GBC, and GG games to sell. TurboGrafx-16 games were confirmed for the VC and we've seen none of them yet - so I dont think GBA games will be coming anytime soon. Besides - by the time Nintendo release all the NES Ambassador games to all regions it will be possibly Feb/Mar 2013 - no point in thinking about those GBA games yet.

I don't understand why all the games that are out on the Wii's VC, can't be on the 3DS? Must we start all over again?
It's one step forward and two steps back with Nintendo.

Well the porting process is still the same even if the game is on the Wii. Nintendo are just limiting how often they put up games - possibly to enhance sales for individual titles, but it's not an ideal system. Also - more people would complain if Nintendo mostly put games on the 3DS VC that are already on the Wii. Some are fine - but some new ones would be ideal. Then again a linked system meaning you can have the game on both systems if you buy it on one would be great.

So let me get this straight they would rather (possibly) release games from a unfinished system like the virtual boy?!?!?!?!? That's just tragic & sad

this is what I meant in my statement & also TG-16 is not on 3ds because of hudson soft dissolving into konami
