Seeing how wayforward has the game sent to Nintendo for a release date, it is probably incoming...

Could we please have a better title? I got a mountain of chill pills ready for nothing.:P

Anyways, I only played a bit of Shantae, and found it pretty disappointing. This was before I played Risky's Revenge, too. The controls were clunky, and I found myself dying a lot due to the stupidest stuff. I think it was also hard to tell what I could jump on and what was the backround, but I could be mistaken.

Can't wait, I avoided buying Risky's Revenge because the price was high and I wasn't sure how I would like it.

I feel more confident going into the original game, to see how it got its start. Plus it might make me more likely to indulge in Risky's Revenge (although I kind of doubt it at that price point...).

Why would you avoid Risky's Revenge when it's better? Heck, why would you avoid more of a good game?

$12 dollars is a lot out of my eshop wallet. I do have the free Ipad version however. I just want to start from the start.

Considering I haven't played either game, I'm betting on the less expensive original.

It's that simple.

To answer the original question, it's coming. WayForward's pretty good about letting us know release dates ahead of time and keeps us posted on a somewhat regular basis about the status of their numerous games, so I'm sure they'll let us know when the game's past lotcheck and when it has a release date.

Also, do you think it'll have the bonuses that it had when you played it on a GBA?

Um, I meant if you enjoy the original, why would you then ignore the sequel?

I played both and while the little i played of shantae was glitchy,it's still better.
1.shantae 2 is only 3 levels long
2.it's also easier nsmb ds...(i don't mind easy games but easier then nsmb ds is plain ridicolus)

Wow! Only three levels in all!? That is just ridiculous. I'm glad to have learned of this, because now I know better than to waste $12 + tax on Risky's Revenge.

I understand why Risky's Revenge is 3 levels long. I think WayFoward originally meant it to be a episodic game.

But to keep on-topic, I'm more excited for Shantae Wii U

I'm sorry, but... what?
Risky's Revenge doesn't have 3 levels. It doesn't even have "levels" at all. Instead, it's more like Metroid, sort of, with plenty of interconnected areas that you can return to anytime. It -does- have 3 dungeon-esque areas, though, if that's what you guys meant.

We same to be misunderstanding a great deal here. You seem to have already planned to skip Risky's Revenge no matter what, even if you play and enjoy the original game. I just can't understand that thinking.

Sorry for the confusion, I just think $12.00 is a rip-off for a downloadable game. And I bet the developers know it too.

Why would $12 be a rip-off? You probably already pay a lot more for worse games on retail. I'll never understand why people refuse to pay money for quality.
