Maybe so - but I played all of my GB games on a GBC. The added colour is nice, especially since there are several palettes to choose from. It's just another feature that really should be available. It really cant be difficult to emulate - it was on the GBC...

I would think forcing the GB games to switch between emulators would be a bad idea.

And you can change the color scheme? How? I was always stuck in a bland color scheme when I played Pokemon red on my GBC.

It can easily be done with fan-made emulators, so I don't see it being much of a problem for Nintendo. With the GB/GBC VC interface being exactly the same minus the border, I wouldn't be surprised if they were running of the same emulator.

Even Japan ( which has the most VC games currently) only has 3 more games than the rest of us. I wonder why NA and Europe got a 2-3 weeks in a row stream of GBC games and then it stopped. Even the 8 bit summer promotion in NA does not feature any GBC games.

No, they sucked. I had and played both, and they sucked. The small screen and lack of buttons hurt those games badly, for one.

Thats because the 8 bit summer promotion is dedicated mostly to catching up with the other regions.
The Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, Warioland, Sonic Blast, Sonic Labyrinth and Tumblepop are all already out in Europe.
Kirby's Pinball Land and Sword of Hope 2 have been announced for a while now as well, and are very likely being released in Europe in that time as well.

I'm not exactly surprised something called "Xtreme" sucked.

Problems seemingly had by those who played the home console version of the games, same with the Mega Man GB games. I didnt find any issue with controls or the small screen.

I disagree with everything you said which is fine as we all have different opinions, but should demonstrate just how far ours deviate. Suffice it to say that the screen is cramped in ways the Game Boy games were not, they're plagued with blind jumps and poor hit detection, the colors look atrocious, the stages are broken up into bizarre transporting savepoints (why this was necessary when the technically inferior Game Boy games never needed this is beyond me), the stages are nearly exact — but lesser — duplicates rather than new experiences, and they're just far, far, far too easy.

Again...that's just me. I love the Game Boy games...they were flawed, but fun. (Apart from II, which was junk, and V, which was brilliant.) This just feels like a genuinely inferior and unnecessary retread. IMHO.

Yes, we need more GBC games. I pray to God that Nintendo is bringing the old Pokemon games to the eShop or at least adding multiplayer to the existing ones.

Fair enough. I feel more cramped playing the GB ones myself - but thats never much of a problem. The teleport system was perhaps unnecessary, but at least you knew where your save was when you passed it. The colours - obviously down to opinion, I think they looked good, considering some other GBC games with terrible colour implementation. I dont agree that the game was easy though. The bosses were hard enough to make up for any easy stage designs, and it only became easier if you bought certain upgrades (which goes further to preventing frustration on something you cant beat, because you're getting better equiped to deal with it each time). All the GB/GBC Mega Man games were flawed in some way, I suppose it just comes down to what flaws people see as an issue. :3

Give me WayForward's Sabrina games and I'll lay down my money. No joke. Those games were good. Not as good as Shantae, but still.

By the way, we got official conformation that Shantae is coming to eShop.

I'm sure it's coming, but remember, being rated by the ESRB =/= official confirmation of a release.

I'm personally waiting on the Oracle games. I have the carts, and have wanted to replay them for a while now, but i've been holding off for the time being.

Also, i highly doubt that any older Pokemon games will ever be released on eShop. Just a hunch (not that i care either way).

I'd be happy if they gave us colour palettes for the first-generation GB games, but yeah, it is pretty noticeable how few GBC games there are.
