I am on a different situation.

I absolutely love III. I had it as a kid and it is one of my favorite GBC games.

But when I played II on the virtual console it really felt like a huge downgrade from III. It played and looked mostly the same, but I couldn't enjoy it at all.

I actually played II last and at first I felt the same as Morphbug, but then I came back to it later, took it in for what it was and enjoyed it arguably more than any other GB/C platformer...

I certainly stopped playing it shortly after I started (because I didn't like it). I should probably give it another try some day.

So is 3 a complete downgrade of II? If so I wont get it. WL2 has a very special charm.

It's not really a downgrade, it just goes further with the metroidvania aspects, but it ends up making the game less fun. 3 is by far my least favorite entry in the series.

Your mileage may vary, though.

I already got this for GBC and I gotta say, this is the best Wario Land game I've ever played! Lots of replay value in this one!

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why
