I'm enjoying it so far. Beat two or three levels. I don't like having to escape but running around smashing stuff is always a good time, haha.

This is my first Wario Land game and I'm a bit disappointed. It's not bad but not nearly as fun as Yoshi's Island. I thought it was going to be amazing as I've only heard praise for the series. Are the GB games any better?

Yeah I'm a bit disappointed too. It's just one big collectathon.

I have the 3rd one and it's much better, plus you can't die, trust me that makes things much trickier.

I hadn't owned Wario Land 4 before. I LOVE it! It's very fun!

How would you guys rate Wario Land 1-4 + Wario Land Shake it! in order from best to worst?

I've only played and finished WL1 & WLSI!, both amazing games in their own right and imo beat many of the Super Mario titles.
Wario needs to get back in the spot light(even though it may be risky considering the latest WLSI! did pretty weak sales-wise), and Mario needs to take a break unless a spiritual successor to SMB2 is actually realised.

Miyamoto has already been borrowing a lot from SMB1, 3 and World for NSMBWii, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and now Super Mario Land 3D for his latest and zaniest Mario creations. Let SMB2 take centre stage for once.

Anyways, back to Wario Land. I here Wario Land 2 ranks as the weakest in the franchise. Funny enough i have 1-3 on cartridge but refuse to play 2 and 3 because of the crapppy GB Color back light, and forget the GBA SP.....playing GB games on that little beast doesn't feel right.

I'd say: 3, 4, 2, 1, SHAKE IT

Wario Land 4 isn't as fun as Shake It! but damn, it sure is fun.

Just for you.

Wario Land 4 is the greatest 2D platformer of all time.

Megaman Zero Series on that little precious paltform =P It's a personal choice, but one has to admit. Those series were outstanding. Their unique fast-paced setting is simply addictive and genius! Plus, a platformer with one of the most well-built plots. Not to mention character and overall design.

Not being able to die is what many people disliked about Kirby's Epic Yarn, it took the challenge out. I know Kirby and Wario Land are very different games, but it's a valid point.

First time playing this game and I really like it.

It's probably my second favourite ambassador game behind Fire Emblem.

Wario Land 4 is an amazing game, even though I still consider Wario Land 2 to be superior. Shake It is cool too, but it should have featured more of Wario's transformations, as they were what really made the past Wario Lands stand out.

WL4 is brilliantly weird and wacky, and I really liked the non-linearity of it. It doesn't have as many levels as WL2 and is a bit more straightforward in the level design, but it is still an enjoyable game, and has some kickass music.

They should really keep releasing more Wario Lands: Shake It was nice, but how about a new WL for the 3DS? It could be a 3D-platformer as long as they retain everything that made the previous games awesome, and don't make another game like Wario World or Master of Disgusting. Oops, I meant "Disguise".

Your parlor tricks don't amuse me, boy!

Very close to my ordering.

Also, to those complaining: perhaps you don't enjoy seeking out the hidden treasures as much as I do? For me, getting 100% on each level in WL4 is even more fun and challenging than in Yoshi's Island, and that is high praise coming from me.

I don't remember playing any of the Wario Lands pre 4. I had the GBA version of this but I didn't really play it. Having a go at it now and it's quite tricky in places but I'm loving it. The gameplay isn't far off Shake Dimension, which I absolutely adored.

Master of Disguise was horrendous.

It's alright - but I'm not really into it. I'm not a fan of the Warioland series and for me this game is just not exciting at all.

I've been replaying my Wario Land 4 cart for the first time in a decade recently, so I'm bumping this up. I remembered that I'd had fun exploring levels and trying to quickly get back to the start while frantically trying to scoop up as much treasure as I could, and that this game was quite the looker in spots.

But I had completely forgotten how great the music is in this game... and how the CD collectibles troll you by unlocking none of it in the sound room.

I used to play levels in this game like Wildflower Fields over and over again just because of how they made me feel. There was basically a level for every emotion I could conjure. To this day it remains one the games I'm most emotionally attached to.
