Topic: Wario Land 3

I loved this game when I was a kid, it's great to see it will be relased soon in Europe! (That means it will come here eventually!)

I hope NA gets it short after, I'm glad we're finally getting WL2 in a couple weeks

Who knows, they may give us an early xmas suprise and release 3 before 2 in America.
It's not like they're forced to release every game in order.

Exactly considering they (technically) released 4 before they released one in ANY region (except it was the same day as SML3 WL in Japan)
Also excluding ambassadors they released Metroid II to everyone before Metroid 1

It's up on the EU eShop now, and I downloaded it straight away. Cleared a few stages now, and definitely love this game! It's very much like Wario Land 2, but this time there seems to be a greater, Metroid-esque emphasis on returning to already explored levels with new abilities to get more treasure. Definitely adds something unique to the experience.

I also like the graphics, which also resemble those of WL2, but look a bit smoother and more colorful. Wario himself also seems to be more expressive than in WL2, with a wider set of animations, which sorta reminds of how he looks like in the first Wario Land.

Anyway, definitely another Wario masterpiece! I'm so excited to finally be able to experience the only WL I hadn't yet played, and can't wait to dig deeper into the game!

Hope NA gets WL2 soon, too, and won't have to wait ages for the third game. I'd still wager NOA won't release this till Q2 2013, though...

I envy you (and every european with a 3DS) so much right now.

I really hope NoA will be visited by 3 ghosts tonight and they release this game here tomorrow.

eh I've had enough with WL2. I wish they'd announce Harvest Moon for Europe.

As fun as Kirby 2 may be, Wario Land 3 is a fairly superior game.

That's some high praise considering Dreamland 2 is easily one of the best Gameboy games I've ever played. Like top 5.

I am very excited for Wario Land 3! I am definitely going to purchase it from the Nintendo eShop. I have not played it before. I am going to purchase Wario Land II for sure, as well (I have not played it before either).

i only played wario 4 (ambassador) and think about getting more wario games now.
but i have one thing that bothers me with wario 4. that stupid countdown at the ende of each level. i hate countdowns. does wario 3 (and the other wario games on vc) also have this countdown?

^Wario Land 1 doesn't. It's a more traditional platformer (it's more like a Mario game, just with an emphasis on throwing and ramming enemies, instead of jumping on them). You also have to have a certain amount of coins to exit a level, but that base amount is never hard to get.

Haven't played 2 or 3, though.

Wario land 3 is pretty relaxed, there are no timers or anything (though most abilities are timed), however the game is pretty challanging... Even though you can't die at all, you can certaintly end up falling, rolling or bouncing (or gasp, floating) away from your objective and back to some other part of the level.
It's pretty fun.

Also, all the levels have four treasures and have to be played four times for 100% completion, but they never feel the same... Even though the places don't always change, it's wario who gains useful abilities and opens new ways most of the time. It's amazing.

Come on NA I want this before Feb 2013

This game has aged well. So glad it came out because I finished Wario 2 about a week after the release. Heard rumors of Harvest Moon on VC in 2013 Q1. All I need now is Final Fantasy Legend 1-3.

I heard Harvest Moon was supposed to be released before 2013, but I'm not even sure if it will be released at all (couldn't find any official sources about it).

About time this game comes to NA perfect time too because i was just finishing up Wario Land 2! Any impressions?
