Being ineligible for he program, I don't get free games. Had I shelled out more money to buy a 3DS at launch, I would get free games. Sure, that's cool. That's how it is. I wouldn't feel guilty if i had recieved free games. I don't feel disadvantaged because I don't get free games. If the price cut never happened, I wouldn't even have a 3DS. But if I had been eligible for these free games, I would be awfully thankful to Nintendo. They had no need to apologize for a price cut; early adopters sign off their rights to cheaper prices once they stand in the launch line. But they did apologize. Yeah, I wish I had free games. But I don't. At least I have a 3DS.

I'm never one to complain about free games.

NES games were a mixed bag. Some real gems like Mario, Metroid, Zelda 1 and 2, the rest are duds.

GBA lineup is amazing though. Not a bad game in the bunch. 5 games in IGN Top 25 GBA games, and the rest are no slouch. Minish Cap is my favorite GBA game of all time.

Speaking of IGN's 25 best GBA games of all time list.

Why on earth is The Minish Cap in 20, and Golden Sun in 24??? O.O And get this... Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is at number 5....

Silly IGN Staff. One Game pushed the boundries in terms of technology for the GBA, while delivering one of the best RPG experiences in the industry. And the other is a nearly flawless title in one of the most influential franchises out there. We're talking about a Zelda Game for christ's sake.

And why did they realize A Link To The Past's true potential by putting it at number 3, but didn't give a damn about TMC?

I have much more respect for Nintendo after this. Nintendo didn't need to give us games at all. When was the last time a company gave us 20 free games for a price cut? PS3 being $600....

No one. No one but Nintendo. < 3

The presentation is pretty sloppy, but hey, free games are awesome and I haven't played over half of the GBA games. Quite happy indeed. :3

The NES games were lame, but the GBA games way more than make up for them.

I hope it isn't really over. I mean, I know that they filled the bill and did what they said they would do, but I hope that sometime in the future, Nintendo uses the Ambassadors...one last time.

Before I fell asleep yesterday night I was thinking about my 3DS. I ended up thinking "Its not my 3DS - its my ambassador 3DS now!"

I fell asleep happily so far Im able to remember ;)

Thx again, Nintendo!

Grammar errors? We could use the german language instead of the english one of course - do you dare? ;)

Man i am loving the GBA games. the NES games were a nice treat and held me over for awhile but aren't as great as the GBA games. I really hope this progrom doesn' end. I am very happy with what they did and honestly I would have been fine without getting any rewards but this program was great. Maybe like the ability to purchase certain titles a few days early (Purchase, not Free), or something similar. While this probably won't happen, I can only hope.

Thank you Nintendo for giving me some awesome games! I promise I will buy many games this coming year in return!

Not nearly as many as 20 games, but it has happened before. When the original XBOX got a price cut, Microsoft gave people a free copy of Halo (which everyone had anyway, so was pretty much pointless) and Dead or Alive 3 (which a lot of people had also.)

Best thread ever

I really appreciate their generosity. :) Like a lot of people said, they didn't have to do this. People who bought the 3DS early did so in order to gain access to it right away. The original cost was the price for early admission, so to speak. As such, early adopters already got their compensation, in a sense. Nintendo just added icing to the cake.

As for the games themselves, I can't say that I'm in any position to complain about anything I've gotten for free. :D Sure, there's some games I play more than others (I've only touched DKJR maybe once), but I'm pretty impressed with the selection that they've chosen. Games like Fire Emblem and Minish Cap can eat up hours of time. That's a lot of content to get for free! So again, thanks a lot Nintendo! :)
