What are your thoughts on the Ambassador Program now that it is over? Do you want more games, are you a little too guilty of having Nintendo port all these for you, or what?

I feel like they really went all out to make it up to us.
Those who bought a 3DS early have gotten quite a big gift from Nintendo. I doubt any other gaming company would give you 20 free games. I almost feel guilty.

I feel like I just robbed a gaming shop and stole 20 games... Nintendo could've made so much money of those but instead they give them to us for free! I know they'll release them to the public eventually, but still... I get 20 free games that no one else can yet buy, not to mention with the Ambassador certificate.

I just wonder how much an Ambassador 3DS is worth. :3

I paid £130 for my 3DS second hand. The only thing doesn't work is the outer camera. It freezes if I try to use it. Still, I was able to claim for the twenty games and get a huge discount.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Is like I have a time machine and undo of my past of not buying those GBA games in the first place.

Nintendo did go all out. Only disappointment was no Mother 3 Translation.

Still wondering what exactly nintendo is making up for. But as long as this confirms in a couple of months i'll be able to buy these games then I really don't care.

Also can't really compare this too any other company, The other two gaming companies have only had online outages and Hardware failures. In both cases the system was repaired for Free with a free year of Live and when PSN went down People got free PS3 and free PSN+. When Live went down a few years ago people got Undertow and 800 mircosoft points free.

Only comapny this has happened to was apple with the first Iphone. They gave the early birds free $100 apple store gift cards.

I'm never one to complain about free games.

NES games were a mixed bag. Some real gems like Mario, Metroid, Zelda 1 and 2, the rest are duds.

GBA lineup is amazing though. Not a bad game in the bunch. 5 games in IGN Top 25 GBA games, and the rest are no slouch. Minish Cap is my favorite GBA game of all time.

Exactly. I agree with all of you guys. Not a bad game in the bunch!

I am so excited and thankful that Nintendo has given us these free games to appease us early 3DS adopters. What a wonderful gift! Zelda Minish Cap alone is worth it to me The rest are just icing on the cake. The only complaint I have is that I have had my games for over 12 hours, and I still haven't received a proper '3DS notification' about the games even being available and I do have the certificate installed. Anyways, just wanted to say that NoA might need to take another look at how it handles this notification system. Other than that, I am so dang happy! On my 2nd dungeon in Minish Cap reliving the memories and also discovering games I never played before like Mario Vs. Donkey Kong. Greatness I am loving Metroid Fusion, too. What a fantastically designed game!

I am satisfied, maybe even pleased but I certainly don't feel guilty. I paid £220 for my 3DS on launch day and to it sold for £130 6 months later was incredibly annoying. It made me wonder if I would ever buy a Nintendo console again. With the ambassador scheme Nintendo have put it right. I can't say the NES games provided much cheer but I was delighted with the selection of GBA games. It has restored my faith in the company.

I don't feel guilty, either. I do feel loved, though.

Where to begin...

Well I wasn't annoyed in the first place. I likely wouldn't have noticed and knew I was supposed to feel cheated if they haven't told me. Still, it's lovely. I wasn't impressed before of their ability to handle things. They do a great job, don't misunderstand me, it's more me than them. While other people want fresh new games, I actually think I have a "fetishe" for playing "old" games on an new console. My main reason for loving the 3DS is the eshop. I have Ocarina of Time, and love it, but again..old in new package, love it!!
And it doesn't help for them to make lots of new games, I won't buy them just to get new games. I will buy Mutant Mudds because it reminds me of Wario Land.. You get the idea.. But release good games in eshop and you won't be able to blink before I have begun downloading.. I am also a bit of a Virtual Games Hoarder

So back to topic. As you can see, it's no way better for them to make me love them than doing this. I almost didn't believe my eyes, it was birthday, Christmas, and everything, at once!! I will not forget this... And I will try hard to not complain when it takes time for the great games to come to eshop, even though I don't always see the sale trick in it, because, eventually, it is no other company like Nintendo..

Birdman

I now have waaaaay too many games I need to play through. Between these, the various other eShop downloads I haven't gotten through yet, a few DS cartridges I traded with other on this site, and whatever the hell I'm getting for Christmas, Imma be busy for a while.

Exactly.

I could see some people being disappointed by this; I'm somewhat satisfied. For what I personally will get from these games, I don't think is worth $80... sadly, I don't think I will ever come back to these games when I could be playing a 3DS game; just think, you could buy 2 shiny new 3DS games of your choice for $80. Now, if Nintendo had included Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, this would be a whole new story. Even then, thank you Nintendo; you're very generous. I shouldn't complain though; it's my fault I bought it on launch day, right?
