Coming this week in Europe. Getting it?

I won't. I have Powered-Up on PSP, which should come to 3DS.

Edited on Tue 16th October, 2012 @ 17:49 by Bass_X0

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Bad Box Art Mega Man will make his grand appearance on the eShop when it comes to NA

I would've loved to see the rest of the series including 2-10, VGB, & Bass done in Powered Up style on any system, probably never going to happen now though.

The 3DS VC version in Europe seems to be a modifed PAL version with the same speed as its NTSC counterparts - Love it!

Bah, I already have it on the Wii's VC. I'd rather put that sweet $3.99 towards the Actual Cart. :p

Is this not the case with the Wii VC version, do you know? I guess it's too late to ask, as I went ahead and bought it from the eShop, but it'll be a sign of good times ahead if they're fixing these issues with 3DS VC games.

Surprising no-one, I'll be getting every Mega Man game regardless of where else I already have them.

Powered Up would be awesome, but it's a vastly different experience from the NES game anyway, so it's worth owning both!

Went an checked again. No, unfortunately the Wii VC version still runs at 50hz. It's not a significant speed loss as gameplay is still the same, but the slightly slower music is noticeable.

I'll admit, being able to play Mega Man 2 on the go on the 3DS XL due to the larger screens would be pretty neat!
I already have Punch-Out!!, SMB and Metroid....But they just don't hold up or deliver the same impact in comparison to playing them on the Tube. Nor are they as colorful when stacked against the actual Carts(Wii VC NES emulations are dark and the colors look completely washed out, which is why i always have to max out the color on my TV when playing them. :p )

Bought it today, and I still cant wait for the others to come out. Namely 3, because I have Mega Man 2 on my iPod Touch - and although the AppStore version is never going to be able to beat an NES or 3DS for controls, I dont feel like replaying it so soon.

Anyway - I've beaten all Robot Masters except Ice Man so far. I'm used to the GB MegaMan titles more than the NES ones, so playing the NES more gravity bound MegaMan took some getting used to again. :P

Thanks for the reply! Good to know I went with the slightly better version of the game. Still a shame about the speed of the Wii VC Version. Hopefully they'll start fixing these on the Wii U.

What's wrong with the speed? All NES games on wii work at the same speed everywhere...

PAL versions of Wii VC games sometimes run at slower speeds. A good example, besides Mega Man, is Kid Icarus. It runs notably slower on the VC compared to the 3DS Classics version, which runs at normal speed.

Powered Up contains the original NES game too.

How slow? I heard it's 50 Htz, but that doesn't seem like a big deal at all, save for the music.

It's not that much slower to be honest, so in most cases i'd simply be nitpicking. However, when a game plays quite slow already, like Castlevania and Kid Icarus, the extra slowness is noticeable. Castlevania does become a tad easier as a result, but Kid Icarus becomes slightly harder. At least for me. :( That and Castlevania has some amazing music, that sounds quite naff at the slower speed.

Yeah than I can get a proper Megaman game on the 3DS instead of having that awful Dr Wily's Revenge game. Although I would rather see them bring out the GB version of MM2 cause the sooner we get those the sooner we can get MMV on GB.
