I always use the smaller screen size with 3D on full, as I cant stand seeing the screen stretched.
I've gotten into the habit of doing it so much I'll be opening the eShop while holding down Start >.<
Do you guys like playing with the larger screen, or with the original size with a hint of 3D - Or does it depend on what you're playing?

I make Pixel Art on occasion.

I like the smaller screen size. Reminds me of GB Micro. And that was a much smaller screen.

You can stretch the screen?

I'm sure you could try - but then you'd need to buy a new 3DS.
I meant that the screen size of the VC games gets streched to fit the 3DS screen automatically, which makes it look more blurry.

I prefer it large.

Bigger is better as they always say.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

I assume you own the DSi XL then?

its not actually stretched...there are black bars on the side....theres no reason to play it in the super small size with the gameboy console outline...unless for lols...and maybe a tiny smidge of sharpness..

I suppose just scaled up is a better way to put it, but I still like it in its original size. I dont want pixels on a bigger scale 0.o

It's just a novelty, getting the resolution to be pixel perfect, and the green Brick Gameboy screen color. I used green at first to experience it in a retro way, but then I was like F-this, my first handheld was a gameboy pocket anyway.

I don't use the tiny screen either, but I probably would if they let us have a super gameboy like border for certain games instead of the gameboy border.

...though it does kind of give VC some 3D. just the screen though.

I don't always give myself signatures, but when I do, you just read it.

I would never use the microscopic screen size. It's so small it's hard to see what's going on. And the peasoup green is too blurry for me.

I really like bigger size option: it makes the games look a bit "chunkier" which I love. And the black and white screen's so
dreamy...

I love the pixel-perfect small screen mode; I don't actually know how anyone can not use the small mode, given the horribly blurry scaled alternative.

Plus, it feels just like holding a little classic Game Boy. And the subtle 3D effect is perfect.

The only thing I don't turn on is that green color; in theory I like the idea, since I remember playing these games that way, but I think they kind of screwed up the implementation. It's too green. I remember the games being sort of a dark yellow with subtle green overtones, not full-on green like that. The problem is actually that they don't have a contrast control, and the default is so dark that you can't make out lighter pixels in the background.

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense.
