Topic: RUMOR: SNES games coming to the 3DS VC

It would be great. I always wanted to play super metroid, and it would be great if it happens on my 3DS.

They better be full screen unlike the NES games or I won't care.

If they're ROMS, there's going to be black bars on the sides. These games were made to be played on a square TV originally.

And stretching them to fill the screen would be horrible.

seems kinda legit.... i'm glad that the snes games'll be portable but i'll be mainly playing 'em on the TV screen instead after playing Zelda 2 on the 3ds.

That would be pretty cool. I like portable gaming above all other types and I like having as many games as I can for my 3DS. Ones that I used to have to play on the tv being in my hand is a plus for me.

never happen they dont even have many nes games on 3ds

SEGA are already releasing 16-bit Genesis titles under the 3D Classics line. It would be nice to see some flagship SNES games on there.

I love SNES games. I would buy most of them if not all of them.

Snes games on the 3ds would be a dream. But i like em streched. I don't think it should happen, cause they will be exclusive on Wii U as a system seller.

All depends on the display. If they're badly stretched or out of proportion I'll probably buy all SNES games on my Wii U instead.

In the video it looks like he accidentally landed on some test area. And just because they're testing something that doesn't mean it's ever coming. I don't think this means any thing yet.
SNES games on the 3DS would make an awful lot of sense though.

I also think it looks more like a glitch. It's hard to read, but one of the game titles looks like "Tank! Tank! Tank!", a WiiU game.

If we want to be optimist... It could be that they plan to unify both eShops.

Maybe there will be a Nintendo Direct in late August that talks about all of this.

This is supposedly going to be the unified accounts of nintendo network meaning you can buy wii u games wirelessly through your 3ds and vice versa

So following that logic SNES games wont actually be available for the 3DS; you'll just be able to buy them for your Wii U?
