VC GAMES THAT I OWN

Super Mario Land - 6.0 (also owned the cartridge)
I played this game all the time growing up, but it seems like a poorly made fangame than a true Mario game. The physics are awful, the sprites are far too tiny, and the level design is very bland. The music is the only good thing about the game.

Super Mario Land 2 - 8.5 (also owned the cartridge)
MUCH better than the first game. The level design is much improved, the physics feel just right, the sprites are large and detailed, and the music is perfect.

Donkey Kong GB - 8.0
As the precursor to the Mario vs DK series, this game gets everything right. The perfect balance of difficulty, good level design, polished graphics, tight controls, and catchy music makes for a fun game. Too bad there wasn't a level editor...

Zelda: Link's Awakening - 9.5 (also owned the cartridge)
My favorite 2D Zelda game, along with A Link to the Past. This game is perfect, just perfect. The only thing I hate is that you have to press multiple buttons to access the Save menu.

Cattrap - 6.5
A clever puzzle game that is very simple and easy to play. The level editor is a fun diversion, but you can only save 5 levels. The music is nice.

Alleyway (Breakout clone) - 5.5
Alleyway is a Breakout clone with Mario piloting the paddle-ball. It gets very boring and tedious after playing for a while.

UPCOMING VC GAMES THAT I USED TO OWN

Wario Land - 9.5
Wario's first starring role is a very good successor to the Mario Land series. The level design is more intricate than SML2, with environmental puzzles to solve and traps to overcome. The game is much larger than SML2. Wario, the greedy bastard that he is, must collect A LOT of treasure so he can buy back his castle from a band of pirates. Wario can wear various hats to power up his abilities (including a dragon hat, jet hat, viking hat, and others). The music is bizarre yet catchy, the graphics are vibrant and detailed, the level designs are unique and varied.
