there is Mega Man and Mega Man 2 in the eShop
do i need to play the first one before playing the second one? I heard Mega Man 2 may very well be the best game of the entire franchise, idk if that is true

if it really is that good i'd like to try it out, just wondering if i "have to" play mega man 1 before that?

and.. is Mega Man 2 hard? how long did it take you to beat the game? i might need another game since tomb raider won't arrive until tomorrow and Liberation Maiden was too short

Naw man you don't HAVE to buy Mega Man first and the sequel second. That's up to you. I prefer the sequel; I own the original on Wii and it's as hard as heck. Mega Man 2 is much easier and overall better than Mega Man. Mega Man 2 isn't extremely hard or easy (mainly because of the restore points) but things heated up at Crash Man's stage and Wily's castle.
Also Metroid is better than Metroid II; I found Metroid II dull.

ok... so bought it yesterday and finished it today (Mega Man 2)
absolutely loving awesome, i loved it...

wondering if we'll ever see Mega Man 3 on the 3DS VC... would be great - simply because it's supposed to be #2 of the entire franchise, some people even say it's better than Mega Man 2
man.. now i kinda want to play every Mega Man there is O.O

@Romeo Seeing that Mega man 3 is featured in the upcoming game releases in the eshop, I'd wager it would take a couple more weeks before release. If you have a GBA, I highly recommend you to try out Mega man and Bass, one of my fave Classic MM titles. I also consider it to be one of the more challenging games in the series.
