I heard on the street that the old Pokemon games' batteries are dying out and people are losing their saves. This would be a good reason to pick these up if they came to eShop. But if it does come to eShop, then they'd need to rework the cable system, because without it, it would be impossible to complete the game all the way. And if catching them all wasn't impossible, why even bother? I tend to play for all or nothing.

When I found my lost Gold Version for GBC in the garage and discovered it wasn't saving. I went to Games 4 Less in Fullerton they said they can replace the battery in my old cartridge. I believe they said batteries last for 3 years I think?... I hope not! But thats why I also bought Pokemon Soul Silver to keep me going after I am able to find someone with a DS, GBA and one of the GBA Pokemon games to transfer my old Pokemon too! Then migrate right to my Soul Silver. I got 3 Typhlosions in my Pokemon Gold and 2 Charizards in Soul Silver!

This is something that is long overdue. Come on Nintendo, give us Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Leaf Green/Fire Red on 3DS VC... among others. You can do it!

It's not overdue. If this was the year 2016, then we would say that. There are not that many fantastic Game Boy/Color titles missing. There are still the ones that I know would get quite a lot of sales might be: Pokemon Red/Blue, Donkey Kong Land, Donkey Kong Land 2, Donkey Kong Land 3, Game & Watch Gallery 3, F-1 Race, Operation C, Revenge of the Gator, Motocross Maniacs, Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge, and Final Fantasy Adventure. I feel that most of them should be released either next year or 2015. After after least half of those are released, I would like Nintendo to move on to the GBA games. Nobody wants Nintendo to burn through their entire line of games within a month. Be patience, and wait a couple of years. I'm sure that they'll come eventually.

I'd prefer the NES ones, which is completely the opposite of what you argued in the Dragon Quest thread you posted earlier.

DragonQuest(warrior in the states) 3 FTW. I loved the GBC remake, still own the cartridge and wish they would just remake all 3 or put them into one game for either the 3DS or their next handheld. They did it for 1 & 2 in one GB cartridge. Just add them altogether and I will buy them in a heartbeat...still mad they won't release the remake of 7 in the US

I think the real issue falls along the pricing. Heck, there's various DS Pokemon games that still cost alotta money to buy. Imagine putting a Pokemon game for VC... It doesn't matter which platform it originally came from... it would be over $10 dollars, easily.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

Nintendo could use Pokemon Bank if they cared, probably.
Or just leave out trading if they don't.

(if they did release Pokemon on VC, my money would be on the latter.)

I'm thinking plenty of people would still be willing to buy the Pokémon games on the VC even if trading was not enabled. I never cared about completing it all, and its not a necessary part of the game, as much as some people would like to argue otherwise. It's an optional completion bonus, and if that were the only reason Nintendo isn't releasing the games then they've gone off their rockers.

I would still buy it without trading and battling (but it would be much better if you could do those things) and great video by the way

Not having link battles or trades does make the game feel incomplete, taking away about 30 percent of the game. (Probably even more)

Doesn't it suck that GameFreak are the only company people allow to get away with locking 30%+ of a game you buy behind the paywall of having to buy the other game?

When did they do that?

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I think they mean that there are always two version of the game/ Ex Red and Blue. But you can never complete the game without the help of the other.

Yea, just you aren't required to buy the other game, you can trade with people that bought the other version.
