Well we've had FrLg as retail remakes of RBY and HGSS for GSC, so I wouldn't see it a problem to add RBYGSC to the vc. However, we've yet to see Hoenn in 3D(Kanto, while not the 'original' original, was in HGSS) and RSE would be the next step up in remaking for a full retail release.
2 things worry me about ever seeing R/B/Y. First being emulating the link cable as Nintendo have yet to do that with any GB games on VC and trading is nessersary to complete your Pokedex. Second is the Game Counter as laws have changed about gambling in game rating in some country, would would mean either Nintendo either removing/altering it like in Europe Platinum and HGSS, or face having the games rated 12+, not exactly a rating for children.
I am hoping for a Red and Blue release on VC.
It would be awesome if they some how included online trading and battling as well.

Hmm...actually, given that the main issue people point out is that they've not emulated the link cable for the Game Boy, why not release Yellow as a 3D Classic instead? Kid Icarus got it's save feature that way, so why couldn't Pokemon get some sort of update to keep the Link Cable support?

The problem is that Nintendo cant emulate the Link Cable - or not very well at least. If they could they would implement it to other GB games as well.
It could be a reason they are holding the games back then, until/if they can come up with a decent way to fix that. I think we all know that re-releasing the original Pokemon titles on the VC would be a huge hit, like any main Pokemon game really.
I think they should have a vc red and blue remake. Update it with the physical/special split, add color, and make it $15 at the MOST! I would buy it, especially because I never got to play gen 1 or even their gba remakes. Maybe it could even be a 3D classics.

I think they would just release the GBA remakes for the VC.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
