Topic: Other 9 NES Ambassador Needs an Update

I'm an Ambassador, and to be honest I'm just hoping for Balloon Fight and Ice Climber to reach the eShop, as these are the titles that support 2 player games (simultaneously). As Nintendo mentioned in their Ambassador software details...
"•The official version* (which will be delivered at a later date) will also support versus play."
Once these 2 games get an update they will be worth being on the NES list

Has anyone else tried to update Zelda II? Seeing as its been released to the public in the US on the eshop, there is an update for ambassadors. Unfortunately, that update changed nothing for me. Did the update give anyone else the restore point and the other extras?

Didn't work for me, either. This is the one game I wanted an update for, consarnit!

i only want the update for a real manual. i dont plan on using the save feature at all. i want to beat zelda ii hardcore. i've considered DELETING zelda ii so i could redownload it with everything, but i don't want to lose my progress DD:

Same, I'm over halfway through the game and I had to level grind way too much to redownload this and start over.

The one thing I don't like about the updates is that they changed the X button, from opening the Restore Point/reset menu in the Ambassador version, to a copy of the A button in the paid version.
(though I'd have liked a X=Start option, I think the Ambassador had it less useless)

I have beaten it months ago so I would consider deleting it and redownloading it. If anyone has done this, would you please let us know? I think we all would like to know if it would give us the updated version if we do this. I think I'll call Nintendo and let them know of the issue.

No. It's been said on other message boards that when a non ambassador buys zelda ii, they get the ambassador version.

They just haven't updated it yet (dunno why...). This isn't the first time this happened

Thinking for some reason this would help with the no-restore-points-thing, I reset my game, thinking it saved at every level-up and dungeon, and I'm all the way back before Death Mountain. It took me months to beat that.

Never playing this stupid game again.

Until next week when they update it and I get over my temper tantrum.
