Wow, it's a good thing they didn't make 3 Oracles.

I believe they had 4 games planned all connecting bit realized that was too ambitious and went with only 2!

I heard they planed 3, one for each goddess of hyrule (oracles).

But implementing the third game with the other two became too hard and they decided to go with 2.

I think the third game was called "Seed of Courage" or something like that, look it up.

Is it okay to play one all the way through and beat it, then play the other and still access all the secrets you get when you play them together? Or do you have to switch between them in the middle of the game to get the full experience? Please help!

Currently Playing: Pikmin 3 and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Recently Beat: Wind Waker HD, Mario 3D World, and A Link between Worlds

I remember reading that too, with the ideas for the third game eventually leading to minish cap.

I am wondering the same. I think it doesn't matter until you beat one fully first.

Here is an interesting read before the games come out Thursday. Warning as there may be spoilers. It seems early on they wanted to do 6 games in all! Its really worth reading!!

You don't switch back and forth mid-game.
You finish one game and then get a password to enter into the second game, which will unlock the additional stuffs in the second game.

Downloading both games right now. Had to search for them since eShop isn't fully updated yet. This is going to be awesome. First time playing these masterpieces.

I wish we had Wifi here at the radio station. If I did, I would be downloading these right away. Instead, I'll just wait till lunch

Whopper744

So they are in the eShop now, you just have to search for them? I saw where it said available at 9 AM today, but it didn't have a time zone listed. I'm on Eastern Time.

Lol, anyone else have the problem you can purchase Ages but not Seasons? Seasons still says coming to the eShop.

Edit: Restarted the eShop and it let me buy it now, phew.

So should I completely beat one game before starting the other, or play both at once to link the best way possible?

I recommend finishing one game first, then continuing in the second with the password you get for finishing the first. There's no real benefit in playing both at once, as the link feature doesn't become available until you've finished one of the games.

I started with Ages and made my way through first dungeon and obtained the Harp of Ages. I wondered how much different the story is from manga. Right now it seems like they are about the same.

I'm definitely playing Seasons first. From what I remember, Seasons was easier. Like, I was stuck trying to get anywhere beyond the 2nd dungeon in Ages and I think I got to like the 2nd or 3rd to last dungeon in Seasons.

Some minor spoilers about Majora's Mask ending

ya know, I wonder if this was originally supposed to fit right after Majora's Mask on the timeline. I mean, it was released not long after that game, and Link starts out on a horse (assuming Epona).
I want to like the official timeline, but I can't believe that made a 'what if' timeline, that comes from Link dying in OOT...not a fan of that at all.
Plus, Link didn't have a horse at the end of A Link to the Past, but he does after MM.
