Topic: Oracle of Ages or Oracle of Seasons ?

Is anyone having trouble getting the heart piece of maple ? Ive been trying in tarm ruins for over an hour now am i doing something wrong ?

Maple shows up after Link has defeated 30 enemies. This is primarily why you see her almost immediately after completing a dungeon. If you are wearing the Maple Ring, the number of enemies you need to defeat for her to make an appearance is just 15.

She drops the Heart Piece randomly so you'll need to just keep trying. One thing you can do is save your game (Restore point, perhaps?) just before you finish off a dungeon boss and when you venture back outside, you have a chance to bump into Maple. If you miss the Heart Piece or she doesn't drop it, you could load the Restore point and try again.

Maple dropped the Heart Piece for me the 2nd time I bumped into her. Best of luck to you.

Just a quick question on purchasing these games. I just picked up a point card for them so I am ready to download just one thing. The discount that is applied to buying them both how does it work? Are the games already at the lower price individually or do they like refund the money back to you if you buy them? Just wondering so I dont confuse myself.

I'm at the Mermaid Dungeon in Ages...kinda stuck. I've gotten two keys, but can't get anywhere else with locked doors. :/

Just got to that dungeon today actually. Are you aware that have to alternate between the past and present in order to fully complete the dungeon?

I don't really mind that song... I mean, you're supposed to be in a creepy dungeon, not a meadow of musical flowers.

lol, at least all the dungeons have their own theme. But yeah some of them are...weird, and annoying...and...yeah. I bet this one would be epic if there was a 3DS remake or something. But that's not happening anytime soon. (unless the remade the song for ALttP's sequel)

Makes me wonder why was Miyamoto so eager to make a sequel to ALttP when the game's already got 4 direct sequels (the 3 GBC games and that probably-not-canon Japanese broadcast-only game).

I guess he just loves that branch of the series.

I this is supposed to feel like an actual sequel to ALttP, dunno how to explain it. Since with the Oracle games and LA were different (mainly because they were on the GameBoy, lol), this probably might be a "true sequel", since it takes place in the same world and I think its right after the end of the first game.

Zelda has managed to turn out creepy dungeon themes many times without resorting to garbage. It's not much of an excuse.

I'm playing Ages for the first time and I love how practically the whole game is full of puzzles, even just getting to the dungeons. I remember before Skyward Sword came out how Nintendo was saying how they were mixing up the Zelda formula by making the overworld more like a dungeon with puzzles to get through and everything, but that's exactly how Ages is, too. It's great.

Even died the first time. (mainly because I didn't know the right way to fight him during the underwater part, lol)

There have been great creepy dungeon themes that didn't have to resort to being "sporadicly dull", there just isn't any solid rhythm or melody for me. Anyway, I just got done with the preparations for the 7th dungeon in Ages. I think that especially in the Oracle games, just attempting to open up the dungeons themselves is only half the work/fun.
