For a while, we thought Japan would have this but we get a slice of the fun cake as well!

Here are the details:

  • free for a limited time
  • enhanced NES port
  • features two racing modes
  • race alone for the best time
  • race rivals to get first place
  • save up to 32 tracks made in the track editor
  • view the action in 3D
  • adjust 3D in-game or with slider
  • length of time to download for free was not specified
  • available at 3DS eShop launch

I'm so freaking pumped for this! I don't suppose the enhancement includes multiplayer for rivals mode, but whatever, I'll take the 3D and the 32 track editor saves.

No Wii U yet.... Not enough first party wow titles to pull me in yet... And Nintendo's got a ways to go to repair the damage done during the Wii generation.

Well, I am glad that we are seeing a 3D Classic during the eShop's launch (and that we are getting a free game). :D

Was that prophecy, or just a lucky guess, because according to the press release, it will be free for 30 days, then cost $5.99 (NA).

Exactly.

This is what I call fanservice. I've never played Excitebike for NES, but this sounds fantastic. It is available for free until July 7th.

I had Excitebike on Animal Crossing. Really fun, but it was no Balloon Fight, that's for sure.
