Topic: Ninja Gaiden (NES)

Anyone else up for a Ninja challenge? I am, and I hope II and III come out as well. Comes out November 8th.

if anyone can beat the game without using ...whatever the 3DS equivalent of save states are called again...let me know. I'll be waiting with attachable wings and a pig.

I will try to beat it save-state less after I beat it WITH states, but I think 6-2 may kill me.

I meant on 3DS and this thread. There are people who beat IWBTG so beating Ninja Gaiden isn't exactly impossible.

If Ryno would get a 3DS he'd do it! >:[

I Wanna Be The Guy is quite possibly, the most mindscrewing game you will encounter.
I've beaten it almost flawlessly, after playing through it more than enough times.

Isn't that the simple tetris clone floating around? Or was that some other game? Sorry, don't really play Mac games a lot.

It's a platformer.

It's a horrible game that kills you with unfair game design every 5 seconds.

@TheDreamingHawk: That video you posted was a tool assisted. Anybody can beat the game using that.

Edit: I sure wish that Nintendo would let us put the NES games we bought on the Wii VC that are already on the 3DS VC. Maybe then I could beat this game. I can't get past the first boss on the last level.

TAS requires lots and lots of rerecords, so it's not quite easy.

I have a feeling seeing how much NES VC Japan is getting, we will get a transfer tool when Wii U comes.

Yeah but it's still easier than beating the game the way it was meant to be beating. And yeah, I hope what you said about the transfer tool happens.

I'm not getting, played it before and I can't even pass the second level. No purpose of having a game that ( despite having good gameplay) is just too crazy difficult for my tastes.

You can use restore points in the 3DS version

6-2 and the final boss are the real challenges.

Level 6-2 from Ninja Gaiden has got to be one of the best video game levels ever designed. I don't think I have had more fun trying to learn/master/pass a level than 6-2. Having played that level a couple hundred time you will finally learn it and it becomes 2nd nature. As much as I love the game I would not want to play it on a portable screen. Those flying jetpack ninja's and their ninja stars would probably knock me all over the place the annoy the ninjitsu out of me.
