Topic: New VC titles in NA.

(it's a side-scrolling shooter by Konami. One of the earliest to feature a power-up system. Notorious for its cruel difficultly due to the power-up system that makes it very difficult to survive after dying on advanced levels.)

I suppose it could be a new game (like Gradius ReBirth).
But for retro games, there's Gradius for NES (as well as Gradius II, but that was Japanese-only), and on Game Boy there is Nemesis (strange, I think that is the only game in the series to use that name in North America) and Gradius: The Interstellar Assault, known as Nemesis II in Japan and Europe.

It's a North American listing though, so the fact that it's listed as "Gradius" instead of "Nemesis II" doesn't really have any significance in this case.

Hmm.. Could someone contact Konami on this?

You do know that Konami only had that in Gradius, Life Force and Contra, right? (At least to my knowledge.) Using it on a GB game will do nothing. Though I do hear Japan had a similar code in their versions, but it was removed in the NA version

EDIT: This is good, because were not limited to the four that were already announced for this year (Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, Gradius, Wario Land II, and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link)

Wario land 2 and gradius are what I'm excited for. Only gradius if it's for NES though.

YES!!! Toki Tori has arrived! I KNEW that they wouldn't abandon the VC like they did earlier.

But I still wonder where those sonic games went.

This is good news indeed! I'm personally not interested in it (I'm not big on puzzle platformers), but it's good to see a week with two 3DS releases (SpeedX 3D and Toki Tori VC).

Next week is supposed to have two releases as well (another Nikoli puzzle game and Balloon Pop Remix), so hopefully this is a trend that continues.

If you go to the end of the VC list on the eshop the sonic games are both listed, but no release date

That's been that way for 2 months now. I have no clue why that is happening.

I want those Sonic games out of the way so NA can get Columns, which is really cheap (at least in Japan), and actually emulates the link cable functionality (something the GB VC games still need)

NA just got Quarth today.

Yay! Quarth is a game I have wanted since Feburary.

But honestly, why are the sonic games still at the end of the coming soon section? It's been 3 months and they still haven't came, even during weeks they could come out

We'll probably get the Sonic games eventually.

Although we did get a VC release that wasn't one of the three games already on the confirmed release list (Wario Land II, Zelda II, and Gradius)
