Next week they get Glory of Heracles: The Snap Story for the original Game Boy. It's unfortunate we won't get the rest of the series. I'm guessing the DS game didn't do to well? It seemed like it dropped in price pretty quick.
It's still Burger Time in Japan. This week they get Burger Time Deluxe. That's what, the second? third? version they get. I know a few people are waiting for one of them to come out outside Japan.
European and American releases seem pretty coordinated, so I would guess Mario. Radar Mission is another catchup title for Japan, so I wouldn't be surprised if Mario Land 2 is the next release after that, either.
More GBC next week - the Japan-only GBC version of Balloon Fight GB is Japan's next game. It seems mostly identical to the original GB version, which was released worldwide as "Balloon Kid", apart from the added color. The first import game on the service?
(apparantly this was part of a "GB Memory" series back in the day, consisting of color rereleases of old classics)
Actually, the "GB Memory" is also known as Nintendo Power and essentially was a legal flashcart. Appearing on both the Game Boy and Super Famicom, you could bring the cart to a store and, as long as you had space on the cart, could pay to download a ROM. A few games were only released in that format (I don't know the GB selection as well, but I know Super Famicom Wars and the Japanese version of Super Punch-Out were exclusives).
Hopefully Nintendo will allow the rest of us to play the upgraded version, but realistically I expect Nintendo to continue being Nintendo and disappoint the US/EU with the monochrome version.
Ah, I see. I've heard of the Nintendo Power system (they had a bunch of exclusive Picross games, among other things), but didn't know there was a Gameboy equivalent.
