I wish they had remade Banjo Kazooie for the 3DS (I know Rare are allowed to make games for Nintendo handhelds) I so would have bought that. I know it's on XboxLive Arcade but I don't have an Xbox360.

I wish they would release GBA games though especially seeing as there are ten ambassador games ready to go.

@akabenjy It's crazy that they have those GBA games sitting on a server ready to rock all they have to do is chuck 1 per month at us loyal fans, but nope. I would gladly pay $10 for each game or whatever they go for ;) what a waste Nintendo, you no want my cash or somethin' bro.

I know. I used to try to explain it to myself that maybe they didn't want to piss off the ambassadors but come on if we have to pay $10-$15 per game then we are paying more than the difference in the price drop anyway. Plus they have got to play those games for over a year now:(

We probably won't see SNES or N64 games on the handheld VC until the next Nintendo handheld at the earliest, and we'd see SNES and N64 games even later if we don't see public GBA games until the next handheld. Even Genesis/MD games have a better chance of coming to the 3DS's eShop.

The NES is a special case due to the ambassador program, PLUS the fact that it's on almost every hand held already.

I'm pretty sure the 3DS is more than capable of emulating games from over a decade ago. The PSP has been able to do it with PS1 games, it's kind of stupid Nintendo won't do it with their handheld system. It's okay to not be content with something when it doesn't make sense it isn't available.

It's not the fact that it can't emulate it, it's the fact that the controls for most N64 games would not work on 3DS due to the limited features. Plus nintendo's VC services don't work that way.

Inverting your negatives, that sentence might read: "It isn't okay to be content with something when it makes sense it's available."

I know what you mean though, and I quite agree. To draw the line between games for consoles and games for handhelds, we are really saying that an experience on one will be impossible to replicate on the other (without losing something in translation). And that argument is invalid when we have a handheld that can outperform a console.

Well they could use CPP for N64 controls, I mean it'll looks exactly like the CCP on wiis VC

Oh noes, what could we do without the glory of rumble?! D:
Seriously, the only major game I could see hampered by this that is already on the Wii's VC is Mario Kart 64. All the buttons could be emulated. It's not exactly a challenging thing to change button imputs; all one needs to do is make the Z-button go to a different one, and other things like that, just like they did with their Classic controller.

I feel it is kind of stupid Nintendo's VC services don't work that way. I'd like a legit way to play N64 games on the go, and others do as well, and it wouldn't exactly prove challenging for Nintendo to emulate their games. The minimal effort they put in would prove quite beneficial, however small in scale, if a simple few thousand bought it, and I doubt sales would be so small.

Sorry, worded that wrong. I don't know what's up with me today. :(

What I meant to say was games that were already on Wii's VC.
