Alright. I accept defeat on the C-buttons front. But the big N would find a way, just like they did in OoT 3D, which had excellent controls.

That's because it wasn't a Virtual Console game. They wouldn't waste time designing a new control setup unless it was a full retail release that they knew would be successful.

And I have N64 games that require use of the analog stick and C buttons at the same time, which would make them unplayable even if the D-pad was used for the C buttons.

It wouldn't work. It won't happen.

You think for a minute we'll be getting N64 games on 3DS?
LOL That's a good one.
We barely got them on Wii VC.

if and only if Nintendo comes up with an account based system across platforms I can see this happening, but only with the 3DS circle pad expansion, the second circle pad could act as the C buttons (see how the c-stick works on the GC controller works at playing N64 games on the VC), and then you'd have all the rest of the buttons you need. However, seeing as this is Nintendo, I doubt they'd so something that made so much sense

Too true there.

In all honesty I think they are keeping console games for the Wii and Wii U VC while the handheld games will be on the 3DS VC.

Since when did Nintendo say that only portable games could be on the eShop? The 3DS is capable of it, if I'm not mistaken.

The 3DS is not capable of an N64 controller.

Besides, this is Nintendo we're talking about.

Ah, well, for certain games with different controls they could probably map different buttons.

I really would like this. I want to "get into" the 64, because it is such a great console.

I think they could easily put some games on without having to change much like Kirby 64 and some games could have adaptions made. But Nintendo and other devs/publishers are not going to take the time to do that.

Seriously, they could just change the functions of the buttons as needed and use the touch screen for any missing, less important buttons.

Oh look! A Morphloggery. Oh, and a Morphsite too.

The problem is, this could cut into their N64 remake sales. Think, why go spend $40 on Ocarina of Time or Star Fox 64 when you could just get them for $10?

Or they could just not release Ocaria of Time or StarFox. Simple as that.

The Classic Controller works on N64 games quite well, too.

Better graphics for one.

That's like saying why did Nintendo put Super Mario All-Stars on the Wii when the originals are already on the VC.

I wish they would make super mario 64 3D :(. I don't like the "sm64ds" remake, it doesn't feel the same. I also wish it was on e-shop!

They would not work well, and quite honestly why would we want to start getting N64 games on the VC when we cant even get GBA or SNES games, or a decent amount of GB/GBC games.

I make Pixel Art on occasion.

well since they're putting GBA games on Wii U, this would make more sense at least.

Buying that tumor just to play N64 games on your 3DS is beyond ridiculous. Let's just stick to the remakes, shall we?
