Topic: Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon discussion

Coming to Europe and Australia next week. I've never really played this but I'll be getting it.

Very Japaneese - that's for sure. I probably wont end up getting this, but I'm interested to see how people find it plays now.

I'm getting this for sure, regardless if it's good or bad. There's only been 4 games here. We have 2 of them now (or well have with this one). I plan to get them all if they are out.

The SNES one is good btw. Too bad we can't get a Japanese import of 2-4.

Yeah, I always planned to download Mystical Ninja on the Wii VC, but I still haven't gotten around to doing that. Maybe this less costly entry will spark my interest even more so, and motivate me to purchase the SNES entry.

I've been meaning to get the Mystical Ninja SNES catridge for a while now. I guess I'll get this game first, depending on reviews.

I'll probably get this if it's released Stateside. I love games with a traditional Japanese flavor.

I'll wait for reviews of this first, unless the guys who buy it on the first day all love it. It looks interesting, but I'm not sure how deep it would be (I already bought Fortified Zone which looks to have similar gameplay, and that wasn't deep at all)

Not the same kind of game, also I herd the Gameboy one was kinda mediocre. I love the SNES one but it's a bit hard. Play co-op if you can it's so much fun.

I have this one on Gameboy, as a kid I would play anything. But not that rubbish.

Seriously though everyone play the SNES one if you haven't. Enjoy the game in EU this week everyone. A friend of mind who had it on the Gameboy told me it was good... so I am going to buy it. He's plaeyed the other 3 games as well.

I didn't get it. The reviews put me off.

Just watched a vid on it, didn't like the looks of it, such a shame because I loved the n64 version.

I'm loving it so far, but I hate one thing about it.

The first level mini game forces you to mash the A and B buttons. Fine. But what's bad is that you have to literally break the system just to win. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. I tried with restore points, I tried with everything and still lost. So I just used a password to move ahead.

I think it's a good game personally. Have a bit of fun with it. I haven't gotten that far yet. I am a button champ so let's see how broken this is.

The video for this actually looks pretty fun. I know it has an unfavorable reputation, but the only major complaint I hear about it is that one race at the beginning of the game. Is that one segment really that much of a game breaker (especially now that there's restore points)?

It should be noted I haven't played the N64 game, so I don't have any sort of specific expectations.

You can hold R and A and it's like TURBO for the mini game. I'm surprised no ones mentioned how hard the regular game is? Or am I playing it wrong.

Wait, R acts as a turbo?

Why didn't I know that? I just used passwords to skip to the final level, as the face minigame is really hard.

I read that in the digital manual.
